No, I'm not. It's basic maths. If we lose the Leicester game, how many points ahead are we?
4.
If City win all their remaining games, we can drop 6 points. So 39 from the 45 remaining. That's 2.6ppg. Currently we're on 2.61ppg. So we just need to keep doing our thing. No small feat since we've been excellent so far to get to 2.61ppg, but easier than City's current scenario, in which they might have to win every game and still not have any guarantee that they'd win the league. There's a long way to go, and although I'm confident we'll do it, it doesn't feel like 2013/14. I was bullish and excited a long way out that season. This year I just want points on the board. If we can be on 75 points in the next five or six games then I might start to get my head turned, but right now I just want to quietly enjoy the season.(And just because I have the numbers in front of me: City are on 2.33ppg, which is about 33 points from their 42 remaining if they stay at the same rate - 88 or 89 total. If they don't raise their game soon, our job's going to look a lot easier.)
Anyone else being strangely drawn to Dion Dublin's nipples?
Paul Tomkins made free-to-read for a short time an article he posted on monday - an article that's very relevant to this thread, I think As is often the case, a great read!
Don't want to derail the thread
So we drop 3 points to Leicester, and we can still drop 3 more. That's 6. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's favourite number.
Football, like life, isn't about getting what you want or even deserve. It's about appreciating what you have.
Yup just keep going one game at a time, do our job and keep winning. As much as its nice to celebrate City losing i would much rather celebrate us winning tomorrow as city losing today is pointless today if we do not capitalizeLets go boys
Read that earlier, actually made me more nervous than I was before!
It’s not pointless
Accommodation booked for Bournemouth home and the chance to see us parade the league title around the city. Starting to believe this might happen
we're in a good run - not sure we'll seal it next week though!
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored
Not saying people are getting ahead of themselves, but there are no hotel rooms left in Liverpool on May 12th.Shame that lad knocked over the new travelodge.
i watched the chelsea game at my sisters. her 12 year old son is severly autistic and i forgot myself and jumped up screaming at the goal and he went nuts. screaming and shouting. scared the fuck out of me. apologised to my sister as i thought id upset him, turns out he was joining in.
A load of us always stay up after the last home league game every season. Did our usual and booked it months ago, £11.50 each at a Travelodge in town
Really? Ok that changes things then. It's been that long since I've taken notice I just assumed it was presented when it was won.Fancy having to wait weeks to get your hands on it!!Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Missed opportunity tonight to put full pressure on City, we've given them another lifeline.
Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker
We never take advantage when the opportunity arises though, same shit all the time when we are in this position.
How do spurs keep getting these lucky wins.
Yeah I know,cannot believe we're 5pts behind City
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
Have to be winning that. Never do things the easy way.As you were. Point makes little difference.
