Did any government ministers resign?

Hope this next nonsense of an amendment gets thrown out with a huge loss....

Hang on, I'm confused here. I understood that the vote today was to rule out no deal but that it was still the default position if we don't have a deal by the end of March. But it's now worded as 'no deal at any time'. So no deal is dead in the water?

Suggestions (eg Sam Coates of the Times) that it's kicking off in the lobbies as government try to manage this. Free vote on this amendment was meant to be the compromise to head off defeat on the first...

If May is going to respect the will of parliament (Ha!), the only option now if she can't pass her deal and the EU doesn't accept an extension, is to revoke A50.

The vote was to take No Deal off the table just for the scheduled leaving date of 29th March. This amendment however means No Deal is not on the table at all so on the 29th or even in the future should there be an extension. However, it is still legally the default ending should there not be a deal arranged or should we not fuck this whole shambles off.

Andrew Neil talking rubbish (shock).

No deal is not ruled out, neither is Brexit on March 29th.

Still need government to ask for an extension and 27 countries to agree.

@hugorifkind
The good news is that no deal is off the table. The bad news is there isn't a table.

Absolute chaos. Govt now whipping against their own motion (having said it would be a free vote) because it has been amended. Remainer ministers (if they didn’t vote for Spelman) will have an enormous choice and will probably have to resign.
Don't blame me I voted for Jeremy Corbyn!!

May have it wrong but I'm pretty sure Gove was promising legislation to follow were amended motion to pass. So there's that too, I think.

They are saying Cooper may have made a tactical error by forcing the first vote because this vote is now whipped and may get defected.

Sky saying hearing rumours some ministers have resigned no names yet

Gauke, Rudd, Clark and Mundell seem to have abstained from the final vote. Which would be sackable/resignation territory in more usual times.

Whipping to vote for no deal, May is a fucking disgrace. Is there a level she won't sink to anymore? Is there a level even left for her to sink to any lower than right now? This is a shambles.

A remainer who is against No Deal has just voted FOR no deal. Says everything you need to know about her.

According to Jess Phillips

May voted for no deal...didn't she say earlier that she would vote against no deal? So more lies from her, unsurprisingly.
