Why do you think we are in a bad spell? We lost to the champions away from home, and barely against a decent team, again away, and with about 8 players rested.

Their "bad run" was much more damaging than ours.

It depends if our ‘bad’ run continues. Theirs was worse so far.

Fully in agreement with BazC's post on the previous page.

Not entirely sure which bank of 5 we should be discussing, but I expect us to win tomorrow and in the Palace, Leicester, West Ham and Bournemouth games.

I'm licking my lips in anticipation of Old Trafford too. Will be the first time since Klopp's been here that we'll be facing a United that want to come and play. Think we'll expose that.

A bit late for this next round of 5.. but here goes:

A Man City - L
A Brighton - W
H Crystal Palace - W
H Leicester - W
A West Ham - W

12 points..

I also predict that we will be 7 points clear of City at the end of this 5 match cycle as they will lose 1 match..
I agree that we'll probably win the next 4 but who are you expecting city to lose to? I can't see arsenal beating them
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

Why not? City are not as good as us defensively and Arsenal know how to score.. Hell even Wolves could do a number on them on their day..

Remember it's the pressure of having to claw back points week after week that could get to them..

If we continue to win and play before them, they would have to win to just maintain the gap..

So yes I expect them to lose, as long as we win..

Nobody could see Palace or Leicester beating them either. Thing is they only need to take their eye off the ball with the number of games they are playing and a team like Wolves or Arse could easily nick something.

It can and does.

No. A bad run is only a bad run over a duration. Losing one game to our main rivals in a tight scoreline, and losing a cup game with a 16 year old centre half and a second string, does not a bad run make.

Got this set of 5 right.  I'm going with 13 for the next set of 5.

A Man City - 1 0
A Brighton - 3
H Crystal Palace - 3
H Leicester - 3 1
A West Ham - 3 1

That was our worst group of 5 games all year with just 8 points.  Hopefully that's the end of the "blip" everyone expected would come sooner or later.  Have to think this next group of 5 games is massive and could well go a long way to determining whether or not we win the title.  We really need max points here.

H Bournemouth - 3
A Man Utd - 3
H Watford - 3
A Everton - 3
H Burnley - 3

13.

Should be 12 from the bum teams and we take whatever we can grab at Old Trafford which we already know won't be officiated properly despite not even knowing who the ref will be yet.

13/15 would put us in pretty much the ideal position for the run in proper.

I don't see us winning at skull mountain, we hardly ever win there, even back when we were walking the league every year and they were shite. The officials will give us nothing as usual. Bed-wetters will need to be on suicide watch after that one.

Biggest concern for the other matches is that Everton and Burnley will be allowed to cripple our players while we get bookings for farting near the opposition.

Even the Ev match will be tricky. But they have nothing that can trouble us.

I'm not too sure about Chelsea, but I feel that our home advantage will have an effect. The others I can see us winning.

We really need 15 and the last 4 are very much winnable games. If we can get past Chelsea then 5 wins looks likely to me.

15 points from those games for me. After the Chelsea match, the remaining fixtures are tailor made for a team going for the league. Said that when the fixtures came out that if we were in with a sniff with half a dozen games to go those are the games you want.
