Quick Q - does anyone now if they will have increased the 4+ allocated tickets in first half v second half.

Everyone got sorted for chelsea and I assume the same for city in a few weeks, but my Q is, as a 4+ who missed out on Man U; what's your thoughts on getting sorted late?

any thoughts on this? I think it got lost in the loyalty chat

I would imagine you’ll be fine on the late availability for united home on 4 credits if the previous year or so is anything to go by. You never know but even City home was easy enough and Klopp’s last game ended up dropping to to 3 credits (at least, might have even been 2 I can’t remember).

Will depend on when they do the sales and the registration period, with it being early January it might be a bit easier. I remember Chelsea last season with the sale timing, end of Jan, people are skint etc was quite easy.

I’m hoping Palace is ok, esp if we’re still with a shot in the league…

If we’ve got a chance at the league, especially if it’s in our own hands, Palace will be a nightmare. There’s more on 4+ this season, hardly anyone will be returning tickets, all the hospo will have been snapped up and if people can’t go, I’d imagine they’d have a crack at selling the ticket elsewhere for inflated prices rather than return to the club. Think even Arsenal and Spurs in the few weeks before will be a bigger pain than some think if we’re in a title race.

Got Spurs and Arsenal in the ballot so they’re fine. Just palace I’m sweating over.

Just got to hope for a good queue position in the AMS and then a mammoth refresh session

Yes - as long as someone attends instead

I don’t think that’s the case, the credit is applied on purchase rather than using scan in data. So as long as you bought the ticket the credit is given to the original holder regardless of if anyone attends

Klopps last game wasn’t that difficult for 4+, obviously if we’re gonna win the league it’ll be harder but I don’t think it’ll be impossible

There seemed a decent drop around half 4, lots of orange. Disappeared super quick again though. No chance looking for a pair

Hope is all I need.

I remember the sale for Real Madrid last 16 game in 22/23 (we only had the home group games in our history). Was proper graft but eventually managed to get 3 then.

If it’s better than that then I’ll be more than happy

Wasn’t suggesting it would be impossible, just think it will be very difficult with few returns and spares going. Hard comparing it to Klopp’s last game but it’s all just ifs, buts and maybes at the moment anyway. Fingers crossed we get to find out come May!

I think a lot changed with Klopp's last game
with the fact there was nothing riding on it (The League etc)

People forget that Klopp announced very early he was leaving which allowed for many fans to choose which game to use and say goodbye etc.
Even the cup games were in demand cus people just wanted to see him one last time. Make no mistake if we have a chance of a title there will be a huge demand and hardly any returns. Hospos will sell out too.

Yeah but imagine we we had actually won the league or could win the league at Anfield with it being Klopp's last game.

could you imagine the demand for tickets.
there'd certainty be NO HOSPITALITY on offer at all in the late AMS sales
that's a certainty

Part of the issue is that loyalty tends to be something which is rewarded when demand doesn’t massively outstrip supply on almost every occasion.

I think that credits were first introduced around 2004, prior to that it was the old stub system. I went to Deportivo home in the CL 2004 and the ground was about 80% full, in that scenario it makes sense to reward loyalty because everyone could have gone, some people did and others didn’t - I got an Istanbul ticket that season with 4 home CL credits and 0 away which is totally unheard of now.

The issue you now have is that everyone is scrapping for tickets and the ones who are successful have their loyalty ‘rewarded’ by getting priority for future tickets, it’s less of an issue for cup matches because I think a big part of the reason that those games sell out, particularly the early rounds of the FA Cup and League Cup, is because of the credits and it tends to be easy enough to get a ticket if you really want to but for league games it’s not the same and demand outstrips supply a lot more often, aways are on another level entirely again, I got arsenal away in the FA Cup last season when hundreds missed out yet I now get priority for the next away (potentially allocation dependent etc) above the people that missed out, is that fair?

I do totally agree with you that it isn’t THAT hard to get tickets you’re willing to refresh enough, albeit some of them may end up being ST returns which don’t carry a credit, but that being the case, I think there’s an argument to just leave things as they are and those that want to go enough will tend to have their endeavours rewarded by getting a ticket, ST return or not, over someone who has potentially built up 19 credits on a burner phone for example.

No easy answer to any of it of course and people will rightly say that refreshing becomes a lot harder if you don’t have an office job and/or you need pairs rather than singles to take a child or whatever.

I went to that deportivo  and a bunch of other home games on that European run. I was naive and didn't know I was building up any kind of credit.  I didn't go to Istanbul, but what a game that semi was.
I'm surprised I actually made the drive home alive every time!
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

How the hell do you get around the price/scroll bar

I have mine set at the lowest it can be (£480), next thing it might move so far along.

in the split seconds it takes to move one or both back, any tickets have gone

so frustrating  :no :no

You don’t need to move it.

If a cheaper ticket drops just hit ‘select seats for me’ and it’ll basket it.

If it baskets the more expensive one it’s because someone else has basketed the cheaper ticketS

I was under the impression it only selects what you ask for (price bracket)
as I have read about others moving the price bar before selecting

I don’t know the exact programming of it but if it’s a choice between a £50 ticket and a hospo it’ll try to basket the £50 one.

Not sure what it will basket if there’s a £50 and a £65 as an example but if cheaper tickets drop you’ll definitely basket the that if you’re quick enough, if you fuck around with the slider you’ll lose it unless there’s a big drop.

What makes you think this is the case

Because I’ve never once moved that slider when there’s been a drop and I’ve basketed the cheaper tickets at least 20 times. I’m either incredibly lucky or it’s programmed that way.

I can totally see why people don’t think it’s that way because if someone is quicker than you then you’ll basket the more expensive one (despite knowing a cheaper one was available) and therefore think it’s chosen the hospo but it’s because the cheaper ticket has gone.

In my experience, the "Choose seats" button is mostly random. I just tried it now when only hospos were available and it basketed the most expensive one at £975. I just smash that button as soon as a standard ticket becomes available, but most of the time it ends up basketing a hospo anyway. It might work differently for other people but in my experience it's pure pot luck.

I'm not saying you are wrong

but my slider just moved from £480 lowest amount its set at to about an inch further up.
so I selected choose a seat, low and behold Hospitality.

now that was within the blink of an eye

TBF, Just tried again with just hospitality from £480-£975, It did choose the cheapest seat

I have 3 Logins for wednesday sale (Me and two of my kids). Successful in 3 games. I will use all 3 logins to increase queue chance. If my daughters is the lowest in the queue, can i buy tickets for me and my son on that login. she is not going so i only need the 2 tickets.

Hope this makes sense

I'm seeing my slider move from the lowest I can set it at.

but no other blocks are highlighted or the price shows as lower on the right hand side.

at times it does show the lower prices on the right hand side (Click on Stadium map) , that's when you know to strike, strike, strike
