very annoying. be here all day and of course the picks trickle along and it gets to 2 people before you just before you go home

I had the tab open (so I'm not sure why it says I was offline) but nothing was happening. I got to a busy point at work and once I refreshed I saw Mikey had gone ahead, so I picked. Similar thing yesterday - I had to go to a gig but things were crawling along at one pick an hour in the evening and I figured I'd be okay by the time I got back.

My comment wasn't specifically directed at you, mate. More an opening to warn people that making everyone wait has consequences. But if you know you're going to be out for over 2 hours then always leave a pick with someone or ask to be skipped. It's unfair on everyone else.

Yeah Veron was excellent, in a league where he could pretty much walk around. He was known as the Argentinian bald Le Tissier if I remember correctly.

happy enough with my picks too

Vierchowod was criminally underrated outside of Italy imo, perhaps with Italy too. unlucky they had a plethora of centre backs during his time.

Is it just me or Papin underrated a bit? I mean he was a heck of a goalscorer and won trophies as well as European Player of the Year, also scored wherever he played but he was around the time when France was shite.

yeah a few years later he was in the 98 team. i was thinking of him. early to mid 90s he was a goal machine. only just remembered there i had a french shirt with his name on the back. my brother picked it up when i was 9 but the thing was at least two sizes too big for me. i wore it for years. when i was 17 we had a french student and i gave it to him as a gift

Jokes aside, Veron’s a great pick. Thought long and hard about picking him myself, but I wanted two midfielders who are defensively sound in behind Baggio.
