Awesome today, thought that was his best performance of the season, particularly after the the past few league games where things weren't going for him (partly down to him of course). Didn't think that goal at Southampton would have such a big impact but he was excellent against Porto and put in a world class performance today, capped by a world class thunderbastard.

So, Salah's now done the decisive goal for us against Spurs, Southampton and Chelsea. All 3 of our most difficult games. Was hoping he'd do the Ronaldo. That means go quiet a bit, get criticism and come back storming when it counts the most.

Now, normally I don't like that Ronaldo fellar but he knows how to answer his critics and lift a team to win trophies at the climax. And boy, do we need that. I was just thinking that I'd rather have Salah firing when it counts, than scoring 40 goals all season and going soft at the end.

The difference between that goal and the shots during the drought is that he really didn't think about it. He just took his touch, set it up, and twatted it (technical term). Some go in, some get saved, others go to Row Z. But he didn't overcomplicate it. Just saw it, did it. That's how the game is supposed to be played.

As long as he's on the field, I don't know if we'll be kept out at all the rest of the season. It'll take some goalkeeper.

Exactly. His interview with Redknapp where he was asked what was going through his mind at the time he said "I didn't think, I just feel" is what his biggest problem has been. Over-thinking and complicating things. Hopefully he's learnt from it and starts scoring a goal a game again for the rest of his Liverpool days

Absolutely brilliant goal from Mo. The icing on the cake was the extra roar that went up around Anfield when he did the Muslim forehead to ground prayer thing. I found that quite an emotional, beautiful moment of solidarity and defiance; a huge "fuck you" to the racist, bigoted scum who have once again made their presence felt this week.

He's an unbelievable footballer and still somehow under-rated by a lot of our fanbase IMO. You hear words like 'scruffy' thrown at his game which beggars belief

So good to see him put his foot through the ball. My one criticism of him during his lean spell was shooting from improbable positions. But the improbability is reduced when you shoot with power, as opposed to looking to curl it top bin.
