Yeah, fair point. I guess I was thinking very large bonuses for the goal scorer but essentially, he'll need to be on 300k a week +, apparently we are working on new contracts for Bobby, Saido and Mo at the moment. Fingers crossed!

That would be terrific. Having certainty for our top players' futures at the club would be a complete game-changer in terms of how we operate as a club.

This may seem hyperbole, but is Salah one of the most culturally significant footballers we’ve ever known? He’s an utter phenomenon both in terms of his on field performances as well as his sheer appeal across the globe. He’s an absolute superstar and could become more so.

Who knows how long he stays, but his impact on this club could be as important as anyone we’ve seen in decades.

But yeah, maybe hyperbole... 😬

And the Navier-Stokes equations. And that's just this season.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

"Egypt international winger Mohamed Salah made another great gesture after paying for part of the fees of an Egyptian child’s bone marrow transplant surgery.

Abdelrahman Mahmoud, from the city of Tanta, suffers from cancer and is being currently treated in the 57357 Children Hospital in Egypt.

The child’s father wanted to help make his son’s wish to meet football players come true and tried to find someone to connect him with Egyptian football stars and Al Ahly club to visit his child."

I still can't believe he's on the verge of breaking Fowler's league scoring record, and has already scored more than Suarez in a season.
Even though I've seen every single one of his goals, he makes them  seem so easy and straight forward, you almost forget he's scoring at a rate few strikers reach in football.

And he's doing so from a starting position as a winger, whilst still tracking back to help Trent.

Unbelievable.

They're not 'any' goals he's scoring. He scores important goals. He is getting the first of the second, the goals that make the difference. We've been there so many times; dominating the possession but failing to convert. This guy is making a huge difference to us. He's not banging in two on the end of a big win, he's scorig the first or the second in so many of our games. He's scoring the most important ones, what a difference he's making!

Nah he's not but he's as effective at scoring goals as anyone I can remember.

I remember when Messi started scoring loads for Barcelona, he was asked what's happened to change the rate of which he started scoring, as if something significant had happened and he just said that Guardiola asked him to play closer to goal. It's pretty simple. If Salah stuck wide most of the match he wouldn't even be in double figures but he constantly makes that run that gets him most of his goals.

Imagine though if Luis Suarez played under Klopp. Shame it never happened.

Thing is though when we signed him I thought he was gonna be better with us as I thought Dzeko was blocking him somewhat similar to how Carroll was getting in Suarez's way but I never thought he'd be this good. Point being we may not have been fully aware how good the player we signed actually was.

Think given that drivel she's spouting, I suspect she's a manc... Mind you though, don't mind people talking like that about players like Mo, Bobby and Sadio. Keeps them under the radar. Would rather the likes of Kane take the plaudits and ours stay in the background.

Yup. The idea that Salah is an unintelligent player is mad. He makes some of the cleverest runs of any player I've ever seen. I know nothing about her other than that clip, but just from that single piece of idiocy I'm putting Mina Rzouki up there with Robbie Savage and Paul Merson as one of the thickest pundits around.

How can it be so hard to accept defeat? It's bloody hard to spot good players, and nobody predicted that Salah would do this well. Plenty of experts are wrong all the time.
