It is though. Young is an absolute shambles, Smalling and Jones are the worst due since Brady/Hindley, Pogba is.....what even is he? He's a show pony wheeled out to bang in a few pens against shite opposition only to utterly vanish when the going gets tough. Lukaku looks like he's getting into character for playing Purple Aki in the new Hit documentary ''the man who feels muscles'', Rashford has been hyped up to such high levels that he's now banging 40 yard free kicks about 20 yards over the bar because somebody has told him he's mad boss and he needs to dab if he scores one.

They are a wank side who have been left behind by smarter more forward thinking clubs. They don't just need a minor surgery on that squad mate they need a fucking transplant.

My point was that their dopey fans are changing their tune now it's not Mourinho in charge  :P

But, I don't think their squad is totally shit. Sure it isn't great, probably along with Arsenal the weakest out of the top 6. But a good coach, and a coach who, unlike Mourinho doesn't fall out with half the team and who doesn't coach cowardly football, would still be able to get a whole lot more out of a lot of them.

But that coach isn't Solskajaer.
Football always seems the most important of the least important things.

Kind of weird how Fergie completely avoided anything inside club after he retired

Has a serious brain haemorrhage now he’s on the pitch before CL quarters talking to officials and coaching the manager

Kind of got that the wrong way round hasnt he ?

Let me start by saying it is great to see him fit and well again.
But Jesus, Solsjkaer really needs to grow a set and become the boss of that club if he is to have any future.
The harping back to the old days, trying to always be positive and talking about the United way is embarrassing. Its great like don't get me wrong

I'm still in disbelief they never went all out for Pochettino. It was clear the team was on a bounce from not suffering from Mourinho's depressing style, they got away with absolute murder against PSG yet it was enough to secure Solskjaer the job.

Most embarrassing of all was the push in the back from

This lot don’t have a cats hell in chance of getting anything from City.
Facing a domestic rival in a derby, in the league is a way different prospect than facing Barcelona in the European Cup knockouts.

I mean look at this reasoning- people expect City to drop points against the likes of Palace, but not United.

It's going to be a different game amidst a tough run for City. United at least have more confidence that they can beat City and that's a good start.
Yeah, I also want to take the piss out of them, but City isn't Barcelona and this is going to be away for them.

They got played off the park against Watford and West Ham at home in recent weeks. The only way Man City don't win that is if they beat themselves (or the ref helps them out).

City can drop points elsewhere, but there is a chance they can drop points at Old Trafford. United will want to keep their top four hopes alive.

Lads.

Lads.

Lads.

Calm down.

Ole improved them tonight. He had them do shooting practice this week and they got 3 shots on goal. Last time v Barca they got 0. So there you go. He's improving the side.

It takes time to rebuild. It took Fergie 7-8 years before they won a trophy. 24/7 sports coverage doesn't allow for patience anymore. Give Ole a contract extension. He needs time.

He's brilliant. Like Moyes, he's in thrall to that man. But it's even better 'cos he talks about the Man Utd way and the spirit of 1999 as if all he has to do is say it and it'll happen because he was so successful with them as a player. And Ferguson in the dressing room against us and on the pitch today, it's early days but this could be funnier than Moyes or Mourinho on the evidence so far. They look hopeless.

They had young who technically is a winger at left back and Jones smalling lindelof right back. Don't know who was where they were dragged into so many unfamiliar positions.

What on earth was he thinking with that set up against arguably the most important footballer on the planet. That's demented.

Puncheon wasn’t too bad actually and underrated.

The thing with Martial, he is on a rinse and repeat mode since the first day he played at United. He also has the poorest workrate of any over £50m signings of the world bar Pogba.

http://global.espn.com/football/uefa-champions-league/story/3827003/man-uniteds-de-gea-has-done-super-special-preparation-for-messi-coach
Manchester United goalkeeping coach Emilio Alvarez says David De Gea has done "super special preparation" before facing Barcelona's Lionel Messi in Tuesday's Champions League encounter at Camp Nou.

Asked about the challenge of taking on a player like Messi, Alvarez told Cadena Ser radio: "We do some things different. I wouldn't lie if I said we do a super special preparation. I already worked in La Liga for many seasons with David [De Gea] as well and before with other keepers. I can't deny that there is a particularity regarding Leo [Messi] in which in the end, you try to offer tools and data to the keeper so that it can help him.

"But we all know that no matter how much you study Leo, or if you have the tools and those are good, talent is always above anything else. I do work that is more specific with De Gea which I obviously can't reveal, but we do some things different and we include other things than with respect to another game as we are facing Leo."

Alvarez added that De Gea, who started his career at Atletico Madrid and is Spain's No. 1, is very much looking forward to the challenge.

"He is very motivated to play in Spain," he said. "To play against a Spanish team in Spain is always a matter of pride for De Gea and the other Spanish players in the team. Whoever know David well, knows that his biggest ability is to abstract himself from any type of uncomfortable and stressful situations. He is very strong mentally. "

10 hours later.
"Manchester United were dumped out of the Champions League by Barcelona after a David De Gea howler contributed to a 3-0 defeat at Camp Nou."
The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.
There go my people. I must follow them, for I am their leader.

cos if they give this dope a massive amount of money to spend in the summer, it won't change much.

I honestly can see him buy Kane for £250m or more this summer, he's a traditional 1990's type of striker Solskjaer understands. Ole is twenty years behind the times.

And you know what I could see Spurs agree to it.

Probably another £80m on Maguire as well, £60m to £75m on Declan Rice too.

A British backbone "who understand the Utd way" for around £400m.

City could field 9 players and still beat United at present. They are a laughing stock.

It is still possible for a vastly inferior side to nick a draw in a one-off game, the bitters managed it with us and our gap to them has nearly grown enough to avoid relegation.

Fucking joke of an appointment. ;D
If the club had any real direction or plan, they still have the resources to challenge for big honours. But until they sort it out at the top, we can expect a few more years of them going round in circles. Their signings the past few years are just all over the shop. Their managerial appointments are even more haphazard, each one just a shot in the dark.
It looks like the Glaziers couldn't give a fuck, so long as the money is coming in.

I expect this summer will see another 'big name' signing, some twat whose best years are behind them. Or they'll overpay for a big PL name, who Woodward read about in Shoot magazine.
