The problem with modern pictures they can be photo shopped (not saying this is) but the old black and white ones of workers on the Liver Buildings or the skyscrapers are horrendous.

And those blokes were doing it for a living and earning buttons.

Yeah it does. Only got myself to blame though, cos rather than just look at the pic and think ‘sod that’ I always have to try and imagine exactly what it would be like to actually be there.

To get there he must’ve kept edging forward on his arse, thinking to himself that another inch or two is safe. Finally he stopped because he was getting unsure, but imagine if he’d thought I can go a bit further. There’s a point where he would start to slide and there’s nothing he could do to stop.

That’s when my stomach turns over

I remember aged about 13 a group of 4 or 5 of us camped out in the woods one night (as you do!). Late afternoon we all climbed a pretty tall tree and sat on the top of it watching some shitty portable TV (as you do!).

Climbing up was ok,  although it was only peer pressure that made me do it. I honestly think I was contemplating jumping the 30 foot or more down to the bottom. Was shitting myself. Somehow this thread has just reminded me of all those feelings of fear of falling/slipping and how hard it was to stop all those negative thoughts. No idea how the people on all these clips completely block that out of their minds.
