i watched us play a tea time game on my own wedding day. Was a first game of the season away to Middlesboro. I actually went home for a few hours with my new bro in law. Crap game. Rest of the day was good though.
There is usually a lull between the afternoon food/celebrations and the evenimg guests arriving. This could well coincide with match time. Just play it by ear and then try it on about 5.15. Good luck.

Hahahaha that is brilliant

It really is a remarkable job that they're doing at Leicester, keeping their players fit over the course of a season. We can barely last a match without someone being injured.
We did pretty much the same in 13/14 ... No way we keep injury free with Klopp's methods but high risk high reward and all that. Plus, as long as we have good enough players to rotate into the team, it should work out ok.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

Emre Can always seems to be injured when we need him.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

He was certainly a handful in the portuguese league. Big, powerful and quick player who knew where the back of the net was. We certainly are going to have to pay attention to him. He could potentially be a nightmare for defenders to handle in our league. Good job Martin Skrtel doesn't play for us any more.

win 3-0 - 3-1, or a game where we can not break a team down and we lose by a shitty break away where Vardy rips our defence apart but trying to be positive lets hope its the former.

It's been a long time.

Looking forward to the game and it's a shame that I have to go to Budapest this weekend so won't be at the match.

The lads have been playing well of late but on Saturday they could be nervous to start with and we need to really get behind the team. Klopp did right getting them to train at Anfield yesterday and more likely for the rest of the week.

We all know Leicester are good on the counter and it means we need to be really smart when on the ball. Finish these off early or it could be a battle but I believe in the lads to put on a good show.

Head says comfortable Leicester win. Heart wants a reverse of the away game last season with a delightful 30yard screamer from the flank by Mane to bring them on to us.

By the way musa is a sumptuous player...him and slimani plus vardy is as good as our attack on paper. Their defence and tactical setup is more settled than ours too.

Still, I always think we can win and it's my birthday so I'll cheer if I want to...

The one thing that worries me about Leicester is the pace they have in attack.

That said, I think we will win this 2-1.

Taken from TLW...not seen it mentioned on here

This Saturday (10th September) will see the team return to Anfield for the first time this season following the construction of the new Main Stand.
Returning to Anfield for a new season is always a big occasion and a chance for the new signings to experience the famous Anfield atmosphere first-hand.
We’ve planned a team bus greeting, similar to ones we’ve done for finals which have always proved successful. Why? Well, why not? There’s no better time to boost the team’s spirit than the first home game, regardless of who we’re playing. We’ve had a rocky start in the first 3 games so we need to show our support.
A few people have been quick to criticise this, calling it “wool behaviour” and how it should be “saved for big games”. But what about supporting the team in the lead up to those big games? If we aren’t showing our love for the team in every single game how are we even going to get to those finals? I think every game should be treated like a cup final. Go out, give it everything for each and every game and you can win the league.
Remember that semi-final win against Villarreal? Remember what happened before that game? Fans lined the streets and made the sky red as they welcomed the team bus to Anfield.
‘We didn’t expect this result but we believed from the beginning. (..) The 12th player helped us today, our fans, the atmosphere was really amazing – even better than against Dortmund.’
Lovren after the game

And we all know how good that Dortmund game was! Even Klopp said he’d love that for the PL games!
Police approval of the event has been given and extra security will be put into place to make sure everyone is safe. After the greeting the bus, get into the stadium chanting and keep the atmosphere going until the final whistle. So the details you need to know:
Saturday 10th September
4pm (please get down earlier)
Bus arrival at the King Harry Pub

Huge well done to Roopa (with Anfield Talk) and Anfield Observer to achieve this. Lets hope this will be a memorable day.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet so it's just a case of whether we can start well for a change and score first. We do that and I could see us putting a few past them.

If they get the first goal I can see it being another long, frustrating game where we struggle to break them down.

Head says comfortable Leicester win.

Who was the last team to come to Anfield and get a comfortable win? West Ham last season? Under a different manager.

Since Klopp has been in charge we've lost 3 home games. The last being Stoke in the semis of the League Cup. All 3 defeats were by a single goal. In that time we've beaten United, City, Dortmund, Villarreal, The Ev, Leicester amongst others. Drawn with Arsenal, Spurs & Chelsea also.

I suppose what I'm saying is that it would be against the evidence that Leicester would come to Anfield and win comfortably. Therefore what's the basis for the above statement?
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

We’ve had a rocky start in the first 3 games so we need to show our support.

Agree with the sentiment, and might be being pedantic, but we haven't had a "rocky start".

Load of bollocks to think we have. We've had 1 bad game out of 4.

Agree with both of your posts. I think we will see a fantastic first 10-15 minutes from the reds tomorrow. I personally would like to see Sturridge start with Mane and Coutinho either side. Can will be a big miss but I've been pleased with Henderson's recent comments about learning his new role and as we are at home let's hope that the midfield can control their's and provide the pressure for the front three to exploit.

I would have liked to have seen Karius start but know that Simon will keep his place for this game and probably Chelsea away too.  I would also bring Moreno back in to add some pace down the left with Milner to come on and replace one of the central players later in the game.

If the atmosphere doesn't inspire us on Sunday then we are buggered going forward !! (atmopshere might be shite on Sunday seeing as we play on Saturday  :lickin )

And half of those in a game we won, so not sure how relevant it is, win all your games 4-3, you win the league.
