When they were first introduced you had to pick them up and bring ID with proof of address. It's hard to do now cos NFC and the free accounts, but it's not like can't use say the billing address for the payment card.

That is an good shout alright, while reading that fan forum minutes it was said they introduced credit card checks to stop people buying more than the allotted amount in a sale( I think 4) easily could check the payment address on a card for local sales

Considering there's often about 50k in the queue for tickets and only 500 of them... long

And when the ones who are actually buying them don't even go into the queue anyway, it's even more pointless!

I’ll take those odds. Feels more like a 1 in 100+ chance at the moment, or just impossible as people seem to have found a way to cheat the queue again, I was number 1 in the queue for West Ham and they were sold out by the time it let me in…

A ballot is the best way if they can’t fix the queues, still concerned about people making fake accounts and/or lying about their postcode though.

Me and my mate were successful. I had an email yesterday morning and it's showing on my account

My mums mate applied for her and her son, had an email saying successful and they tried to take the money but she didn't have enough in her account, transferred the money over and phoned them up yesterday but they said too late.

So lucky to get them, but so sad!

Yeah especially with them being assigned seats. 

Suppose it raises the question of how long do you give to though!

I would imagine they will for Toulouse as nothing has changed from USG and they done it for that game, it was less then a week though -  so plenty of time yet.

Depends how many uefa want

Got the few thousand hospo season ticket holders who probably get first dibs on the hospo ones

Just easier to go for seats not yet allocated than shifting everyone around

How do they get notified? is it succesful people only get email / payment taken/ notification on their ticketing account? because ive had none of these three i am obviosuly assuming unsuccesful. You would hope that the account is at least updated to show BALLOT everton - success - Y/N. but maybe wishful thinking...

Hopefully the TO start informing people if they're unsuccessful. There's not even any official word of when the ballots are actually drawn, so people are left completely in the dark about it all.

Surely can't be much of a task to also notify the unsuccessful applicants as well as the successful ones

It does state on the website that if unsuccessful, your my account area will be updated to say as such. I'm guessing I'm unsuccessful as no money has come out the bank and the game is tonight haha.

Premier league ballot results: [greyed out text where i assume should say "successful for everton/unsucessful for everton"] repeat of the words "premier league ballot results"

Season ticket waiting list position: X

i think last friday the everton one did say unsucessful in advance of the game. but now thats gone and seemingly no trace of the ballot result in history part of the page or anywhere else.

Is anyone else getting an error when entering the ballot without a saved card? I've tried it on different lead accounts with different cards but just get an error saying saved card, I know the first name deletes itself when you enter the card , but now I constantly get an error. It works fine if you have a saved card though.

Yeah seems to be ‘working’. The unsuccessful message appeared for me yesterday whereas successful payments were apparently taken Friday. So still not a ‘live’ system for unsuccessful people..

Isn't it a bit silly to have the local ballot results after the members sales... Wouldn't you cut down on one if people knew what's going on. Suppose that's the story of the ticket office though.

yeah I’m sure I read on here that someone ended up getting 2 x tickets for the same game, bought in members sale and then also got lucky in LGS, so had two on their account. You’d think having one would cancel out the other, but as you said, TO don’t have a clue

Yeah that was me, had to contact the live chat and they cancelled the local ticket and refunded my £9. Would rather have kept that than the £50+ one!
