2 more games and he’s in our top 50 appearances. He’s already well inside our top 20 all time goal scorers. He’s also won every honour possible. He’s been here 7 years, he’s never rocked the boat or agitated for a move and he is perhaps the epitome of an unselfish team player.

He’s firmly in all time great territory for me.

Oh yes, he is for me as well. Like you say, never rocked the boat, always gives his all and is the ultimate team player. Also helps he's beautiful to watch when he's doing his thing.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Decent game from him today, found Salah with a great pass at one point.

Listening back to the 5-Live commentary their fact-of-the-day was that the man who "discovered" Bobby, back in Brazil, was a dentist.

Of course he was. Lol  ;D

Didn't score, but I thought that was maybe his best performance of the season.  Played more like a proper 10 and linked play excellently.

Love Bobby but he was one of the main reasons why Ajax passed around us in the first 30 minutes. He still a delight to watch but the drop off in pressing has fallen through the floor.

LOL...

Al, for the last years it was Sadio-Bobby-Mo in a 4-3-3

For the last month we've been playing a 4-4-2 or 4-diamond-2, especially with Nunez and Mo up top as two strikers.

Call me crazy, but it's a bit harder for Bobby to press from midfield where before he was pressing from the front. In midfield he has different responsibilities. And tonight he won the ball or caused a turnover a few times.

I love him . I'd say he's my favourite modern day Liverpool player and I'd put him in the same category as my love for Fowler and Whelan. Needless to say Kenny is top of my list.

Good stuff.  If there is a lack of transfer activity this coming window because we're in the middle of a takeover, then a rested Bobby will be crucial for the second half of the season.  He's played too much the last few games and looks visibly gassed around 70 minutes.

Tend to agree - personally happy for us he's not going, but sad for him (probably last chance now ?). The likes of Martinelli chosen ahead of him, good player but Bobby's scored more than him this season - and Richarlison ffs ! That beggars belief !

Gutted for Bobby that he hasn't made the Brazil squad for the World Cup. Though selfishly... it is probably good for us.
