That little touch for Darwin’s goal. Totally unecessary, just like his no-look finishes, but it adds some class.  Very Brazilian. Love him.

Love this guy.

Start him Sunday?

Can't see it, it'll be Jota and Salah, that's why they were on the bench today.

I'd love Bobby to play. The way he manages to both knit everyone together, and also just ghost into pockets of space is so unreal.

I think we will see Jota-Bobby-Salah with Bobby dropping into the space. I can't see Klopp playing 2 in midfield against City's 3. It's already hard enough.

He's probably the number 10 who'll provide the most useful support to the 2 midfielders. I'd start him there against City. The fact he got taken off early suggests he probably will with Nunez up top and Jota and Salah in the wider areas.

Wonder if we could go

Nunez     Salah
              Firmino   Harvey
      Thiago    Fabinho
Robbo VVD Konate Gomez

Sounds like Diogo possibly carrying a small knock and only played the 20 mins.

Bobby has been criticized for not scoring goals. Those that did that wouldn't hear about what Bobby brings to the team.

Bobby is now scoring goals. So, to find the negative, they point to loss of pace, not pressing.

Bobby can't win with some of his critics.

He just impresses Jurgen and his teammates. Those are the ones who count.

I think any lad that played the game knows what Bobby does for a team. He’s sacrificed himself of goals and that position to make sure the goals are scored. He works hard with and off the ball. He ran past Thiago at the weekend to try and get back for one of the goals. Solid Player. He’s cemented himself in the hearts of Liverpool fans, whatever the critics say.
For a player to be good enough to play for Liverpool, he must be prepared to run through a brick wall for me then come out fighting on the other side.

Pure talent. Does things other players wouldn't even think to try and that unpredictability makes him the key to locked up defences.makes it look simple while also doing the simple things well. It's players like Bobby that make football

Genuine question but can anyone think of a Brazilian in English football who has done better than Bobby ?

I think he’s the top scoring Brazilian in Premier League history (and therefore English top flight given there was probably only Mirandinha before that). Gabriel Jesus has probably won more trophies although has less European success and given he’s now at Arsenal that’s unlikely to change.

Very long winded way of agreeing with you!

Get him that new deal, let him retire here.

Said at the start of the season that i thought he could still make a decent contribution to the squad, think he's surpassed that already. Long may it continue.

Not many better sights than Bobby's beaming smile, love him!

I personally believe Bobby is still in his prime and with the attributes that he has he could continue to play to this standard for another couple of years. I think we should give him another year or two, but I can see this will be his Xabi Alonso season where we see the best of him and then he will leave at the end of the season.

He's great. Puts a smile of your face in this form.  I was just waiting for the new contract posts, although at least one was ironic.

No doubt there'll be some who will say that we should give him a new contract, only to change their minds when he has a dip, at which point they'll slag off the club for letting players get too old and Klopp for being too attached to his players.

Then of course there'll be the "we shouldn't have let Bobby go" posts when we struggle to breal down a stubborn defence.

There's good reason to manage the minutes of over 30s in our system I reckon.  He's not as physically intensive as he was at his peak but all the class is there. Never had pace so that's not a factor now.

Great to see, would def start him V city as he can sit on Rodri who so much of their play comes through. But we don't need to give him a new contract just for this purple patch of form, though long may it continue.

The olde Bob's back! Si senor!

Certainly had a great start to the season and yesterday was his best game I thought, not just his goals and assist but his all round game as well which he hasn't been quite consistent with for the last couple years. When he plays like that, there's nothing more joyous in football. Personally I'd keep him here indefinitely, mainly because I love him regardless of whether he's on it or not.

Was listening to 5 Live and Jonathan Woodgate mentioned while doing his coaching badges, a coach at Liverpool was glowing about him as well:

From 1:16:00 below:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001czq8

Nothing earth shattering in terms of news but just makes me love him that little bit more.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.
