Lad, when you post this turgid shite, you denigrate the club, including the fans. Of course it's your opinion of Bobby on the surface...but you use him as a vehcle to peddle your own agenda

Liverpool have just finished preseason. Yes, it finished on Saturday. Those who actually listen to the boss will know he said that a while back. He said preseason continued two weeks into the season.

When you write off an icon like Bobby so readily, you forget that Jurgen still rates him, as do I but that's not important. Even if Darwen hadn't threw the head on the Andersen shithouse, he'd have still been on the bench. Bobby will start at Goodison. Bobby's not the only one to have struggled since the season started, am I right?

#Givetheballtobobby

Spot on here. Last season was brutal and it showed in Paris throughout the team. However, thought it’s accepted by now that Bobby is just one of those players who ALWAYS likes to spend his summer holidays relaxing (fitness and diet-wise) and consequently he always comes back a little heavy and sluggish. Yes Bournemouth were not up to much, but you don’t put in a performance like that if you’re ‘finished’ at the top level.
My scouse, the often busted but seldom battered Mr Flabby Whore Alien. Who will not send in cottoned wool, bubbled rap, shiny sliver spaced blanket and sum beefy Bovril to keep it warm and safe and snag as bag in a rag? Oh Whore yours is a sweeter leftish peg

as Jurgen said - the most underrated player in world football.

Don't mind it to be honest. He has always been more than a striker, a more limited 9 who bagged goals more regularly (even if less overall!) might have been understood better by the press and hype machine

He's one player we've had who DOESN'T get the constant "he's unhappy! fallen out with his team mates! forcing a move!" claptrap like Mo and Sadio got

Seems to go under the radar for opponents - works to our advantage certainly

Nah, there was a distinct case I remember when he actually looked at the reflection in a defender's eyes. That doesn't count as no-look goal.

Not the same, but Saturday:

Must've seen the goalie's reflection in Hendo's eyes...

323 Appearances with 100 goals for Liverpool and a legend.

Hint, it's not Bobby. 331 appearances (came on as a sub 62 times) for Bobby and his 100 goals.

19 Liverpool players have 100 goals for the club. 6 of them have scored them in the PL era. Barnes also got many of his in that era including his 100th goal (Rushy as well obviously got a few).

Bearing in mind Torres and Suarez aren't even included in that, both scored around 80.

Hopefully Diaz and Nunez will be next.

If Jota's here long enough he could do it too. Would be some success rate if the next three big additions done it after the last three big ones.

My favourite player of the Klopp era, hands down. Have we had better players? Probably. Have other players scored more goals? Yes.
But few if any, have as put as much of a shift in, scored as many goals and been as entertaining and as fun to watch. Or have been as fundamental to our style of play as Bobby. And all done with a huge smile on his face. His contribution to our success in recent years should never be underestimated. I'll be genuinely saddened when he plays his last game for us.

In my opinion he was our best player on the pitch today. He scored a nice goal and intercepted at least 2-3 counterattacks. He helped in the midfield as well. I read comments that he is finished. Far from it.

To my eye test there's no physical decline whatsoever.

If anything being a squad player last season allowed him to be fresh and energetic this season, unfortunately unlike some of his teammates.

Hopefully with some streak of games his proficiency in winning the ball back in opposition half will return as well.

That moment in the second half where he stopped that Newcastle counter attack on the edge of our own box was ace. Delighted he's gotten another, but his overall performance was brilliant, rumours of his decline may have been premature.

A real mixed bag from Bobby today. Seems to not be quite at it physically, but that’s most of the team in general.

Showed a lovely weight of pass a few times, like when he put Diaz in to round the keeper. Also showed that his first touch is as good as anyone’s out there. He did tend to stray as Bobby does and struggled to attack the final third but he was alright overall.

He definitely has a place here and there will be a lot of games for him to play. I also don’t think he’ll make the Brazil squad so a month off would be good for him and a few others to get themselves right, even if that means resting for most of it after season on season of unrelenting games. I would still probably bring Nunez in to the first team XI soon, but Everton away is probably not the place for that straight away.

Did well for that goal but his intensity has dropped big time along with the cm's and fb's. You can never question his effort but something seems off. I hope the long WC break gives him the time to come back to his physical best.
