Agree, it no way affected the opportunity as the ball had already gone. Did they even look at the pull down the other end? Appalling really.

I don't think many clubs if any, will buy anyone big this season to be honest so you would expect this to be an opportunity for a number of academy players. All the three mentioned are givens but they're are others as well, who I hope will get opportunities as well.

Yep, the landscape's going to be very different.

This. It was a poor attempt at a rugby tackle.

as for whether it was a penalty - is it not a case that the ball was still in play? So it was still a foul in the box - therefore a penalty.

It happens all the time though and there's never a pen given. Thuram was rugby tackled as he was taking a shot up the other end.

Maybe by the letter of the law, but considering what happened down the other end it remains contentious. If that's possible, I am obviously wearing my BMG hat here.  ;D

Gladbach really played well since the break, very unfortinate to be behind.

Leverkusen’s passing has been much more inaccurate this half, feels a much more competitive game now.

Wow Demirbay could’ve finished it off there.  Gladbach defenders looked terrified of Diaby.

Some really good attacking play on display this half.

Very apparent in the Wolfsburg vs Dortmund and Gladbach vs Leverkusen that a lot of the players are unfit and somehow the poor passing and unforced errors are making it more enjoyable to watch.

yeah, first half their passing was very slick, barely missplaced any. Gladbach tweaked things and got back into this well.

The players are not unfit, it's they're not match fit it takes 5 to 6 matches to get that match sharpness back after such a break

3-1 Leverkusen

I’ll be honest - I know nothing of him, never seen him play for this, is he a winger?

What I was referring to was that cutting, line splitting run from deep, that run was very much through the middle even if he is a winger.
