And so another long wait comes to an end. Barney suffers his first PL defeat in what feels like years, but some know-it-all will surely point out that it's only been a few weeks. As a result, his bid to set a new record for the highest number of points at the half-point of the season has failed at the final hurdle. No sign of anyone mounting a challenge to his more important bid - to become the first newly promoted player to win the PL title since ... well, let's just say since the last time someone's done it .
