Every time I see something about this my brain goes into hype overload. Bought a PS4 just for this, basically, and have been marking time since buying it.

Of course, I've just realised I'll have no internet when it arrives and will probably need a mega patch to play it. Yes I will take my whole console round my mates house and use his, even if it seems a bit extreme. Must. Have.

You won't need the patch to play it, may be a bit messy technically without it though (messier than usual, I mean) and online features will probably be blocked

This turn of phrase tickled me as I imagined the Internet turning up at your front door, like something out of South Park with Tron Guy, Sneezing Panda etc. knocking on your door.

So £5 to charity? If you're hell bent on spending £50 on Fallout 4 the better option would be this....

http://www.instant-gaming.com/en/755-buy-key-steam-fallout-4/

Currently £26.67 meaning you would have £23.33 change yo give to a charity of your choosing.....a far better deal for everyone expect HB I'm sure you'll agree :wave

It's not hideous. It's not good looking game but it's not terrible. It's pretty much what I expected from a Fallout game. Grim and dingy. And that's fine with me.

It's definitely a step-up over 3 and NV.

Well of course. Plus, those games look pretty naff compared to other open world games at the time too. There's actually a good reason why it does too. Remember Fallout games are saving everything that happens anywhere in the world you visit. Dead bodies don't disappear, items remain where they are etc. It's a pretty constantly active world wherever you are. That does take quite a bit of processing power. So it's always going to look sub-standard compared to a game like Witcher 3, which doesn't do this.

I think some games graphics are important part of the immersion. I don't feel Fallout is one of those games.

Arsed about the graphics, the last ones were pretty average at best for the period they were released in and were still far better games than most of their peers. I only played New Vegas about a year and a half ago and I didn't give a shiny shite about the graphics as the game and writing were so strong.

That's not true and it takes 5 kilobytes in your save at best, no processing power. In Gamebryo world is divided by cells and after a set amount of ingame time without player's visit the cell will cleanse itself of corpses and other stuff.

Spoiler

Just incase anyone wants to have a wee look, its just in a random part of the game, gives away the perk tree, Although if you have played fallout before theres not all that much entirely new.  Graphics as expected look fantastic, the general layout looks a tad confusing but that's the same with every fallout game i guess, you'll get used to it.

so hyped.

Stay strong, mate. It's a bitter fight, but it's always worth it in the end. I'm staying away from anything Fallout4 related all together.
I have a daughter now, so I can't play 8 hours a day like I've been used to. Have to resort to playing at night during weekends. Hopefully it'll make the game last longer.

Trying to work out how to make time to play this when it comes out.

Between working for a living and spending the rest of my time with my daughter/fiance there isn't enough hours in the day. Sacrifices are going to have to be made. I hope my daughter remembers daddy loves her ;D

I just got a PS4 for my birthday yesterday. I am now wildly excited for Monday. I only asked for one so I could play this.

Like others I am really not sure where I am going to find the time, but I will, somehow.

It's the trade off for building a world as big and detailed though mate, like you, I don't care, I've booked a week off from next Tuesday to play it and Rise of the Tomb Raider, can't wait.

Nah, I don't know. I think they should probably be doing a bit better at this point, not that I'm arsed though. Its kinda comforting knowing that I'm getting the full Fallout experience. Check out the lip sync and janky-walking effects in the new trailer.  ;D

If you have the option of PC, I do fancy you'll prefer the PC version. It's frame-rate is unlocked so you'll have the option of having 60fps too. :)

Just checked and according to CanYouRunIt my R7 200 series 2GB graphics card isn't good enough somehow. Guess it's Xbone all the way  ;D
