30 - Good strength from Mario, wins us a free kick. Commentators whinge about him 'being near the edge' re a red card. Can't see what that has to do with him being fouled.

I'd really like to see Brannagan get on. We'd probably need an away goal before the manager would risk it but he's massively rated and it's always exciting to see the youngsters get a chance. Williams too.

33' Sturridge attacks and dances about the Beşiktaş goal, final shoots, defended. Mario and Sturridge look good as does Sterling. Daniel needs to take a few fewer touches and trust his instincts.

Sturridge still clearly getting back to his best. Should have hit that first time but he twists and turns until the chance is much harder. Still draws a decent save but Mario played him in perfectly.

34-5' Beşiktaş free kick, collected by Migs in the air, Liverpool attack again and the Turkish keeper does well to stop the ball. Need to end stuff here. Beşiktaş again with an attack, player goes to ground looking for a free kick, nothing given.

Great news for those of you who like the idea of really, really long away trips. Dinamo Moscow are 2-1 up against Anderlecht (tonight and on aggregate) with only a few minutes left. Zenit St Petersburg, oh they of happy recent Europa League memories, are 4-0 up on agg against PSV and will qualify.

Some exciting ties in Europe tonight. Borussia M are 2-2 against Sevilla (2-3 on aggregate), Red Bull Vienna are 1-1 with Villareal (2-3 on aggregate) and Dinamo Kiev are 1-0 up against Guingamp (2-2 on aggregate).

Finally, Ajax are thumping Legia Warsaw 3-0 away from home to go 4-0 up overall. Would love Ajax in the next round, that would be a proper European tie.

Beşiktaş want a penalty as the ball bounces up into Sterling but it's a very weak shout.
