Thanks again for the great draft!

Yup, great draft.

Last couple of picks were tough. Was difficult to find info from the clubs Figueroa played for, but when I found Mazurkiewicz, Ancheta was the obvious final pick.

Looking forward to the voting, for a change.

So what's going to happen with these steals, mate?

As I understand it, the orginal idea was to use one of our 5 unused rules to leap from our last picked player to another player in one of the sides we've knocked out in each round. However, I think you mentioned the other day that this is highly implausible! Especially as almost all of us have taken keepers on our final picks. I think Elzar brought up the idea of nominating two positions that we could upgrade on. Maybe that could work better...

Just thought it was worth bringing up now  :)

Yeah we should sort that out before the groups are drawn. Perhaps it could be the last player picked + one more that you've nominated?

Yes, I was going to suggest three options (one was recommended):

If you progress to the knock-out stage:

OPTION A
We continue as we originally planned. Your 11th (from draft) and 12th pick (steal) are your dominos. Group winners will have 1st and 4th choice. Group runner up will have 2nd and 3rd choice.

OPTION B
You nominate two players from the start of the group stage.

OPTION C
Your 11th pick and ONE NOMINATED PLAYER are your dominos.

I feel Option C will be the best option as I've been building my team with the fact that the last pick will decide your options for later.  i.e Toldo only has 28 caps! ;)

Same, I've used one of the easier rules to pick up Illgner with potential steals in mind. Think Option C is the fairest.

Ok, so my drunken Neuer pick left me a bit stuck and ended up having to go for Alaba... He's brilliant but very young still but then again he's already won the lot at club level playing at a very high level.

Interesting...

I've now realised that I've had no understanding of this rule whatsoever throughout the draft  :D
"Don’t let your heads drop. We’re Liverpool. You’re playing for Liverpool. Don’t forget that. You have to hold your heads high for the supporters. You have to do it for them." - Rafa Benitez, halftime, Istanbul, 2005.

C sounds fair, as it allows for people that read the rules, yet it implements the nominate idea to make it easier.

We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

It's not hard to understand guys! :D

At the end of the group, we will have the chance to steal players off the 2 eliminated teams from our group.

This can either be done via 3 options

OPTION A
We continue as we originally planned. Your 11th (from draft) and 12th pick (steal) are your dominos. Group winners will have 1st and 4th choice. Group runner up will have 2nd and 3rd choice.

OPTION B
You nominate two players from the start of the group stage, that you replace, but you have to use these as the domino too.

OPTION C
Your 11th pick and ONE NOMINATED PLAYER are your dominos.

Just vote for which you think is best.

Oh righto, so your team gets better as the draft goes on.

Interesting.

C looks best then.
