If you need someone as you're struggling for numbers, I'll do that draft, but consider me a back up for the time being. In all honesty I'd be more interested in a draft that is a bit tougher or more exclusionary, as in PL all time but you maybe get allocated teams out of seeded pots then must compose your team out of those, with perhaps minimum of two but maximum of 3 players from each team, minimum 100 PL apps (not necessarily for that team).
Crosby Nick never fails.
Anyone down for just a simple Premier League All Time Draft? It's been done before clearly, but who cares. Now certain players are big hitters (Salah, Van Dijk etc). It's simple, little thinking & half the fun is just to do something which gets chat flowing.Would be nice to get the drafting back going again. If it's too simple for you, no worries. If enough fancy it, I'll get it started.Let me know, thanks.

I will join. It's a shame to see some good draft ideas like Linudden's not garner enough sign ups, so let's get the ball rolling and start drafting again.
Put me down as a maybe.
I haven't slaughtered lobo for ages
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Any ideas on a little twist we can do for the PL draft? Not sure anyone can be arsed to researched the amount of games players played. But a little twist would be nice don't we think?
If you need someone as you're struggling for numbers, I'll do that draft, but consider me a back up for the time being. In all honesty I'd be more interested in a draft that is a bit tougher or more exclusionary, as in PL all time but you maybe get allocated teams out of seeded pots then must compose your team out of those, with perhaps minimum of two but maximum of 3 players from each team, minimum 100 PL apps (not necessarily for that team). So for example, you'd draw 4 teams, and you draw let's say Liverpool (Pot One), Aston Villa (Pot Two), Derby County (Pot Three) and Oldham Athletic (Pot 4). Still would operate as a draft, so for example, whoever had pulled Man City at random could take James Milner as their pick, which would exclude the Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle and Villa managers from having him etc. They have to have represented the team in the Premier League, so no Wayne Rooney as a Derby player for example, despite him having over 100 PL apps.Pots would be dependent on historical PL performance but be somewhat ridiculous like some of UEFA's pots, so if you've won the PL, you're pot one, regardless if you're now a mediocre Championship side like Blackburn (however, this would likely need to be revisited and bulked out as there would maybe be more drafters than Pot One Teams etc). Villa are former European Champions but would be pot two, they don't have enough pedigree between 1992/3 and present. Sides like Barnsley, Oldham, Bradford and Wimbledon etc would be your pot 4 groupings. Randomised draw.Your team then might look something like: Dwight Yorke (AVFC) Stefano Eranio Mo Salah (Derby) (LFC) Neil Redfearn Steven Gerrard (Oldham) (LFC) Gareth Barry (AVFC) Tony Dorigo Jakob Laursen (Derby) (Derby) VVD Paul McGrath (LFC) (AVFC) Paul Gerrard (Oldham)An idea. Might be a lot fiddlier than Jordan's cleaner and clearer PL draft. One thing I'm in agreement with though is that the draft part of the forum may be the absolute best area for discussions of players. My thinking is that it would be impossible to have a stacked team, and even though you might have a Gerrard or a Salah as above, you're also scrimping round to find Oldham's greatest ever PL goalkeeper, which might not be saying much. You may have Ronaldo, Keane and Vidic, but you'd have to balance that with Jan Aage Fjortoft, John Moncur and Kevin Horlock etc.
Thanks for the invite. I want to join, but I shouldn't I'm on draft leave until the new year.If you want a small twist, you could make it so you can only pick a player from each club once and then you judge that player on that club alone. So you pick Fowler for Liverpool, and no more Liverpool players for you. But you could pick Barnes at Newcastle (please don't).
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks
Just make sure you judge players based on their primes no matter where that was and I think it will work just fine. Best call it "Played in the Premier League draft" for that purpose in my opinion. Sure, that means the likes of Hierro slip in but I think it's a small price to pay.
I think you could open the thread up and then see if there are any sign-ups and then start picking tomorrow if you ask me Then go for one per club.
