I'm not an expert but broken fibula is not as bad as "broken leg". Like I said - I'm not an expert ![Wink ;)](https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Broken fibula is generally much better than broken tibia. The biggest problem with broken tibia rehabilitation are the following 2:
1, build up of scar tissue. Due to the shape of the bone (thin), this type of bone heal faster, but it also meant is easier for the chance of scar tissue to form. For people who don't know, scar tissue formation is due to lack of stress and pressure presented to the healing bone or muscle. Muscle rebuild according to the angles of pressure and tension they working against. Therefore, a lack of stress and tension during healing phase (rest and immobile for too long) would cause muscle or bone fibre lay down randomly, hence not according to how they will be used, which also meant not as strong and easily damage again.
2, lack of blood flow to the epiphysis region of the bone, sometime require hole to be drilled into the bone to encourage blood flow hence, promote healing. Which required surgery and extend recovery time.
having said that, full recovery from any broken bone within aa month is kind of pushing it a bit.
Hope it helps, and sorry for my poor English as it isn't my mother tongue
