foster  took a free kick from half way line. karius caught it and could easily of had a shot at an open goal as foster  was still on the halfway line!!! long way i know but out of his hands why not? no one else wanted to shoot all night. crowd wasnt getting at him just saw an opportunity.
But if it hadn't have worked and he just conceded possession they'd have still moaned.

The moaners and groaners are breeding too rapidly, some absolutely horrible people attend Anfield now.

I've posted about this about 5 years ago, in Mark Platt's brilliant book, At The End of a Storm, on the 1946/47 title winning year there's frequent quotes from the Liverpool Echo about the grumbling in the crowd throughout the season, its really amusing to read and it illustrates that it's been forever thus. I remember it in the 80's, but fucking hell it's worsened recently. I listen to some people and I wonder if it's in their DNA or is it 27 years of pain - whatever, it's fucking pathetic. The vitriol about every miss-placed pass is startling and I wish they were chucked out the ground.

Rant over  ;D

It certainly isn't a trait attributed exclusively to the more vintaged supporters. This season I've heard "shithouse", ya fanny Sturridge" and "fuck off Mignolet" to name a few, from younger lads. Not something I like to hear but they're free to voice their opinions. Frustration is inevitable but the way it's being directed towards our players is distastefully infectious.

The atmosphere at Leicester was great, and then at the cup derby it was incredible! Totally lost my voice by the end.

Agreed it was a top atmosphere despite the game itself being relatively poor.

I was surprised they let Everton fans out at the same time last night. Walking down Anfield Road at FT was quite intimidating and felt like going into no mans land with both sets of fans passing within inches of each other. The usual taunts were sang and said (a good minority but not all) but it just needed one reaction from a few fans to kick off.

Same here. I touched on it in the post-game thread last night, but the police intervened on an incident outside the Twelfth Man after the game. Fucking group of young bitters blindsided a group of our supporters outside. Could have gotten really ugly, but credit where it's due, the cops sorted it out before it booted off.

As for the atmosphere, along with the Leicester game it was great. I thought the Swansea game was okay, too.

The worst atmosphere that I've experienced so far this season was the WBA game. Sitting in the nose bleed seats in U9 surrounded by tourists recording videos on their phones in a funereal atmosphere. Couldn't get a single chant going.

Loud as fuck last night. Sounded like a latter stages European night from the Rafa era !

Hopefully will be replicated against City next week.

Quality night.

When THAT goal went in I tried standing on the seat in front and it nearly snapped. Lost my footing but thankfully the guy in front was composed. I was shaking the poor guy as if we'd just won the European Cup. Fair play to him though, he took it well. :thumbup

More of this atmosphere Reds. :scarf

More bullying and bravado and cockyness from the stands. Make the non-contributing people feel they are the ones with two heads for not singing, supporting, and shouting encouragement when the players do something shit. When someone groans blurt out support, 'doesn't matter Dejan lad we've got these wit their 2-bit bashed lemo fucking jiggins behind the net'.
Make every player feel like they are ten foot tall and scouse as fuck and part of something... like it used to be. Put our crowd with Jurgen's off the pitch mentality and we can beat any fucking team and every fucking week Menstruation

If you saw this in another thread it didn't belong there.

That 10 minute spell was fucking unbelievable, mad even in the centenary!

In general it was very good, the scenes after the 3rd and 4th were reminiscent of Van Dijk last week, incredible.

Took in the Kemlyn for the first time in years,  it was mad all through the second half,  awesome,  plenty of youngish lads around so no reason why this can’t be kept up.

Was utter bedlam in 306. One of the best I've been to in years - possibly, since city in 2014. Each goal felt like it was celebrated as if it was the last goal we will ever score (if that makes sense). Just utterly magical to be part of and i'll be buzzing for the rest of the week now.

Anyone there will know there was a moment just before Mane hit his shot where it felt as though the Kop held it's breath and as the ball flew in the back of the net there was this almighty roar of pure jubilation that I haven't heard in a long time. Really special moment and I keep chuckling to myself when I think about it. No other place in the world i'd rather be than right there at that moment.

What a game, what an atmosphere!  :scarf
