Tuesday April 8th 2014

Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid   (Real Madrid lead 3-0 on aggregate)

Chelsea v Paris Saint Germain (PSG lead 3-1 on aggregate)

Wednesday April 9th 2014

Bayern Munich v Manchester United  (1-1 on aggregate)

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona (1-1) on aggregate

Dortmund v Real

Well Dortmund have Lewandowski back from suspension so at least so they might be able to get a result in tonight's match and put some respectability on the overall scoreline. Sebastain Kehl, Dortmund's skipper is suspended. Lewandowski scored 4 times last time these 2 met at the Westfalenstadion remember. ;)

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 14 of Madrid's 32 Champions League goals, one more and he'll have set a new record for a single season in the CL. Although Messi can also gun for this record.

PSG v Chelsea

PSG missing their talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic through injury. Eto'o likely to come in and replace Torres for the home side. Mourinho has never lost a CL q-final. Chelsea have also won 11 of their last 13 home CL games.

Bayern Munich v Manchester United

Pep Guardiola is still the manager of Bayern Munich.
David Moyes is still the manager of Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona

Diego Costa may still be fit for this. Barca are virtually full strength.

Madrid tie is already over.

Think PSG will get through. 2-1.

Tomorrow is really interesting. United can't get through can they? Bayern really need to step up here and prove themselves as they made a right hash of that first leg.

I'd love Atletico to get through and I think they might just do that.

Diego Costa could still be fit according to reports. Would be massive for them if he could play but is it worth risking his fitness with the title race set to go right to the wire?

Still lots of twists and turns, i expect both Madrids, Bayern and PSG to progress. However it's quite conceivable none of the aforementioned go through.

Please Chelsea win 3-1 after a punishing 120 minutes.. then a draining penalty shoot out.

Next a draw v Barca or Real, with a fight between Mourinho and the Spanish staff, away in the first leg when they go down 5 or more to nil.

If anything, going out tonight will deflate Chelsea dressing room more than progressing. Having another match before ours will not matter much. I want these out of the CL as soon as possible.

Just don't get this wanting Chelsea to go through to give them extra games fuckin nonsense...the last thing we want is them on a winning run/charge for a double...

..grim thing is though that despite the scoreline - PSG were so shite that I think the dirty horrible cheating c*nts will win tonight....
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

Real Madrid and PSG to go through tonight

PSG will miss Ibrahimovic tonight, but I still think they will have enough to do the job. Think both teams will score, but once PSG score the tie will be over

Excited to see the trio of Verratti,Matuidi and Motta again though  ;D

While PSG may miss Ibra tonight, it does make them a bit more solid as a team and could actually aid them away from home. An early goal will see off Chelsea.

Would rather Chelsea go out, I'd think it will have a negative effect on the team in various ways. A famous comeback would instill belief in the players that they are capable of pushing on and doing the double. Defeat would make them fear finishing the season trophyless and a bit of caution and doubt could slip into their play.

Also the English media is slowly starting to see Mourinho for who he really is, the last thing we need is for him to regain that "special one" aura, it can only help solidify the cult of personality he relies on to inspire his players.

My prediction: I don't have confidence in Mourinho to engineer this type of victory. He likes to play on the counter and frustrate the opponent, and here they will have to come out and attack. I think the Chelsea players will struggle with this situation as they simply haven't been drilled to play in an expansive style. You could even see against Villa and Palace that when Chelsea push forward they leave huge gaps in the back and are very vulnerable to the counter attack. I suspect Mourinho will hope to nick an early goal then keep things tight, hoping PSG make a mistake or they can get something from a set piece. I don't see Mourinho having the balls to open things up too much. He'd rather keep it tight and find a refereeing error to blame for the loss than leave the team exposed to being picked off on the counter. I think Verratti will be very important for PSG. If he can carry the ball well in midfield he can draw fouls, cards, etc. and provoke a typical Mourinho team disciplanary meltdown. Also it would be fantastic if Cavani is at his best. PSG will have to be wary of Hazard, their full backs look to be their biggest weakness so hopefully they aren't left to go 1v1 against the Belgian.

I predict a 1-1 draw.
