Watched some of the US Preliminaries this weekend. Very interesting to see how they do it all and what decks people come up with. There was a Warrior Worgen deck that did 32 damage in one turn. Very creative!

I'm stuck at rank 16 at the moment. Can't progress with anything.

I was rank 8 last season with the pally secret deck.

I have created quite a few of the decks going around and just think I need to learn situational play. My next deck is going to be the freeze mage deck and see what happens there.

The Miracle Rogue deck is fun though.

Only ever played 1 game and won.

Put it a few draw cards, Arcane Intellect, Acolyte of pain, Novice engineer.

Doomsayers are key though.

Lots of fun with it. So far i'm 4-1 with it. If you think of any additions or improvements let me know.

Only heard of this the other day when a mate mentioned it.

Gave it a go last night and enjoying it so far. All these different type of decks can be quite overwhelming though. Only managed to play against the AI at the minute just unlocking the different hero's, think I just have the priest left to unlock.

Not looking forward to getting shafted in my first game online!

Once you've got through the training games, my advice would be to pick a couple of classes you've enjoyed the most and play those in exclusivity for a while and unlock all the free class cards.

My picks at the moment (for someone who's just starting) would be warrior, shaman and mage. Mainly for the variety playing those three would give you. All of them have winning combinations even with the most basic cards they give you.

If you decide to carry on give us your online name for HS and we'll friend request you and we can have a few practice games. Get you into it - it's so satisfying when it clicks.

I've been enjoying Paladin a lot, used that for my last 8 games now. Finally unlocked all hero's so is the next step to just go online and see how I do?

I fancy sticking to it mate so a practice game would be good if you don't mind! How do I find my username with the number that you all have been posting?

Good stuff - you can make great decks out of all the classes so all about what you feel comfortable playing at the end of the day - there's no right nor wrong :)

When you load up HS you'll see the outline of a bloke with a zero next to it. This is your friend list. Click on it and it'll have your username and then a # with a number after it.

Your username for me to add you is xxxxx#1234 without spaces.

Mondzz#2944 :)

I've only had 2 free packs to open so far but managed to get 2 rare and 1 legendary out of them. Is legendary or epic the best drops out of packs? Cant seem to tell after searching online.

The Legendary is the best you can get, although some of them are crap. They drop about 1 in 20 packs. The epics are the 2nd tier cards they drop about 1 in every 5 packs.

What Legendary did you get btw?

Good luck mate, i'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it , it's very addictive.

Btw I learnt something this weekend, when you get your daily quest if it says 40 gold "win 2 games with a Paladin" (or whatever) you can click the X and try get a new quest. Mine was that and I clicked the X and got 60 gold win 5 games with a warrior or Priest. So more gold coming my way.

Anyway was playing this morning and a friend started spectating me, his comment at the end of the game was "This game makes me sad for Hearthstone" Such was my luck. I got Reno'd twice and when I managed to play Malkorok it gave me the cursed blade.

Seems good! How does it play with Rafaam?

Does the reliquary seeker get buffed a lot? If not I would remove one and replace it with a possessed villager. Or maybe add in a Siphon Soul, although that would slow down the tempo of it.

It doesn't (the RS) - good idea to swap one.

I only have rafaam in there cos by the time you get to play him the deathclock pretty much ends the game.

Yeah I noticed in my ZooLock deck the RS didn't get buffed a helluva lot. Mainly people who come up against Warlock have put in a lot of board clears so I rarely ever get 6 minions on the board at one time to play it and get the buff.

I'll post a deck I created over the weekend which is a lot of fun, although it does have a lot of holes in it.

Rank 14 for the season, 2 gold commons, 10 gold and the season's card back. Hardly seems worth it.

Ah well. Onto next season and trying to get higher than 14.

I haven't played any ranked games this season really, apart from about an hour and a half on the first day as I've been so busy with my house, as such I only got to rank 19 - I still got a gold common, 20 gold and the card back :D

Well that blows ;D

Wonder what Rush got for being level 7/8?

I like my deck but there's like 2 or 3 turns in the first 5 rounds that I can be caught just using my hero power to heal. I guess I need to fill it with a few more deathrattle 2/3/4 drops. Will see what I can fill in there when I get home, plus what I can live without.

Been having much fun with these decks.

Warlock

Druid.

The key card in this deck (Fandral) cost 3200 dust 'cos I crafted the Gold version. Since my long term goal is get all the heroes to Gold status, I figured I'm going to be playing this class for a while so why not :grin

So just for shits and giggles, I started the new user experience and connected to the European server.

Kripparian decided to do that with the Asia one so thought I would follow his lead.

It's an interesting experience, specially with the new release. You need to do the tutorial and the all that, plus getting the default cards for all the classes (i'm still doing this part).

I spend some of the initial gold they give you on original card packs and got Ysera. Once you unlock daily quests you get the 3 free packs from Old Gods and then have to play the other dailies to get the 10 packs from Old Gods. Got one other Legendary in there which was Xaril, Poisoned Mind.

Got to level 18 on the ladder with a really crappy mage deck so there is that.

Although in Krips video he played Arena 4 times and had 37 wins! I mean yeah that's not even close to what i'll get , my first arena run was 5-3 although it should have been more as I monumentally screwed up the first game and misplayed to get critical. So lost that one.

All in all a fun experience though.
