Funny how the Bitters dismiss it as Mickey Mouse cup, when was the last time they won a trophy?

"Only" 18 years
I love Emre Can more than both of my children. Fact

yeah, but i bet his expectations were higher joining Madrid....the way things were here when he left us, he could have won more with us with the team he was in...

just realy sad to see him not doing good... but in the end it´s the way it is...nothing will chainge it.

He is doing quite good, actually; without him, Real does not really have a hold in defensive midfield and it's nearly always noticeable when he isn't playing. However, I think he had hopes of ending Barca's era with this new era of Galacticos and with Mou's help... Didn't quite work out that way.

Palo Alto is soccer mom heaven. Try going to a state not on the coast.

Ok, again, as a coach in the US ODP program, I have visited pretty much every state (except Hawaii and Bat Shit Palin-land) and the growth is at never before seen levels. I doubt it will transcend the levels of the throw-ball in the deep lying States but many inland States such as Arizona, New Mexico, Maryland and Virgini have high levels of elite program participation.

As discussed at the recent NCAA Conference in Alabama, it is anticipated that by 2018, soccer will account for more than half of the sporting scholarships at both Division 1 and Division 2 schools both in terms of money available and uptake of those scholarships (both male and female).  Junior colleges in Texas and Tennesse have recently released fiscal projections that show they are making as much incoming finance from their soccer programs as their football and basketball programs.  Small steps towards domination.

I will happily discuss this further off-line or in its own thread but this thread needs to be about Atleti and shit-coat getting his come-uppance.

The fact that players like Lampard have been talking today baout how they will be challenging for the tilte next season, the day after he signed a one-year extension probably just baout confimrs it.
