Topic: Query about my warning.

Dear mods,

On Wednesday 24th April I received a warning and this is what it said.

“In an attempt to improve the general level of posting on RAWK we are clamping down on repetitive arguments between the same users about the same things.

We've heard it all before, it adds nothing new, for anyone. It's tedious as fuck and we've had enough. Please desist from flogging your favourite bete noir.”

On top of the warning, I was muted for 12 days.

I posted three comments on Wednesday 24th. In a thread about the Suarez incident, I said something along the lines of ‘his actions were idiotic and he only has himself to blame.’ A user called RedHopper then posted a great piece which I quoted and said I agreed with. In another thread about Suarez I posted a comment saying that he was one of the best players in the world and should not be sold in the summer. That was it. I was not involved in any repetitive arguments, nor was I ‘flogging my favourite bête noir’. I posted my opinion concisely and then I was done. Needless to say I feel like I've been treated a little unfairly.
 
With the above in mind I have a few questions I’d like to ask the moderator who warned/muted me and I’d greatly appreciate if they could be answered so that I can avoid this happening in future:

1)   What did I do wrong?

2)   It would not have been unfair to simply send a quick message advising me to desist from doing whatever it was that I was doing wrong, rather than muting me for nearly two weeks. Why was this not the case?

3)   When I checked my profile, I had been given 70 warning points and in the reason box it said ‘yawn’. Could you please tell me the reason for the severity of my warning?

Loads of posts were being deleted from the thread for various reasons, the thread was around 75 pages in length already, the same points being made and countered, red hoppers posted was deleted, lots of points he raised had already been dealt with numerous times in the previous 75 pages. So it was deleted to curb a further 75 pages of people making the previous points that had already been made, then you came along, and quoted it in full, with the highly worthwhile contribution, I agree. You then noted his post had been deleted, along with yours, but decided to comment that you agreed with it.

The thread was locked and you were muted, for repetitive arguments that were tedious as fuck.

Your complaint and sense of entitlement is duly noted. 

I'm off to enjoy the sunshine and a BBQ.
