I’m guessing we could wear grey against Ajax, it wouldn’t really clash with red/white. But we probably would wear the purple.

Purple is the away kit, although it certainly seems we’ve worn the grey more often.

Oh and it is a kinda minor tongue in cheek type moan, could play in bin bags for all I care, being there is all that matters.

Do they not do a coin toss for colours for these finals anymore? I vaguely remember someone saying we won the toss back in 2005, which at the time was a good omen as all our wins came playing in red against all white.

Obviously given 2007 and last year probably best wearing the away for a change. It is a minging kit that purple though, but if we beat Ajax in it you won’t be able to get your hands on it.

Fair point. I wasn’t a huge fan of that yellow kit from 2001 but for the cup final alone it’ll always be a favourite.

Only redeeming quality of the purple kit is that it looks majestic on Van Dijk. Apart from that it's a bit of an eyesore. Still, don't care as well as we win it.

Actually, I believe we lost the toss in 2005, but AC Milan had enjoyed greater success in European finals wearing white, so they volunteered to play in their 'away' colours. They thought white was their lucky colour, which is ironic bearing in mind what ultimately happened.

That’s true. They’d won all their previous finals in white. We’d won all our previous finals wearing red and playing teams in white. Something had to give!

Went to the new balance shop on Oxford st today. Surprised they don't sell any of the training gear. Literally only have the home shirt.

I think the image would be a fan-made approximation of what the away/3rd kits would look like.

But... yeah, I think they look too nice, and NB usually have an "eccentric" color kit for either one of those (the "toxic thunder" in 16-17, last year's orange, this season's purple)

Hi can anyone tell me if the new kit is in the club shops yet? Is there a launch day or has it already happened?

Was my lads bday on the 5th and promised to take him up and get the home kit when it was in the shops.

I don't think they do have coin tosses anymore, for administrative purposes like this, the draw for the final is done at the same time as the draw for the quarter/semi finals.
