That music at the end gives me all the feels.

Marvel (sorry but Sony gets no credit in this) finally nailing the Spiderman formula.

Not going to get lost in the timelines/plotholes. Not worth it until after Captain Marvel and Endgame

It's what Stan Lee deserves over everything else. A great Spiderman franchise

But will say this

Can't be long until the introduce Miles Morales into the MCU, not after the success of Into the Spiderverse.

I figure the monsters are constructs made by Mysterio so he can play the hero by defeating them.

Oh right, cheers mate, was wondering what was going on.

Marisa Tomei, but I wouldn't call her a monster.

Yes lovely, although I fancy Sally Field as well. But not Aunt May from the comics.  :)

It's set before Infinity War. The fantheory is that they're on the school bus back from the airport when Thanos' generals attack NYC.

Feige comfirmed it's set after Endgame. It kicks off Phase 4

Andy confirming that the incels and MRAs stand with Marvel.

This movie has probably spoiled Avengers 4, I'm thinking. I'll spoiler tag it just in case.

Spoiler
if they'd beaten Thanos and undid the snap after the fact it would probably be less quippy and happy at the start, so it's pretty clear they undo it all via time travel and he never makes the snap, rather than bringing back the snap victims from the afterlife

I'm hoping they worked that out before finishing filming, so have some sort of closure...but still with a slightly open door in case Disney do pick these up again in two years.

Sepinwall said they're dead and buried for that reason but rumblings continue that they'll show up again.

Whole thing is kinda weird. Netflix want their own shit, Disney want their guys back in the fold so it makes sense, but all it's done is piss off fans of the shows.

I just watched the first episode of The Punisher season 2, and it’s an absolute delight. Starts slow, but the pay off is exquisite.

I thought the balance of ptsd drama and punisher doing punisher things was better in this season and it will be a shame when they officially announce the cancellation, but yet again it fell foul of netflix pacing, they seriously need to aim for 8-10 eps per season on this stuff and allow a showrunner to justify why their story needs a few more than that.

DOnt think so to be honest, I think the whole point was to kill half off, like he does in the flashback to Gamorrah's past.

Fuck sakes that annoys me. So Frank goes after the preacher who doesn't have the girl and the girl comes along, the one thing the Preacher needs to make a deal. Then Frank tells her to stay put and don't do anything and what does she do, starts walking towards the room and gets caught. I mean how fucking stupid can you be!!!

Just annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah, it never really bored me, but I got a bit blaze about the fighting all the time. I much preferred the Daredevil Punisher which had a bit of military thinking/strategy in it. i think both individual series suffered from basically going from place to place fighting.

Really pissed me off getting spotted from a higher point when staking out. Just poor drills.

It is not about ratings, this is about Netflix not wanting to help promote Marvel just as Disney are about to launch their own streaming service, their lack of promotion of new seasons etc that helps to push down the ratings and give them the excuse they need.

I did notice that the second season of The Punisher was barely visible even on the first day, instead some of their movies were focused on. The other Marvel shows seemed to get a decent amount of promotion though.

Netflix’s point of view makes no sense to me though.

Ratings of individual shows do not matter to Netflix. The customer pays whatever they watch. In fact, building an audience for a rival's output is arguably the last thing they want to do.

There are pros and cons, but I can sort of see what they might be thinking.

I saw Blank Panther won the top award at the SAGs and was a little surprised as while it was an enjoyable watch it hardly was the best movie of 2018. It was not even the best Marvel movie last year in my view as Infinity War was superior.

 “Black Panther” (WINNER)
