Whopperfest.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Get into Dublin sat 9am. Leave Sunday at 630am. No hotel just on the beers and a few hours sleep at the airport. Cant wait

You can catch the Aircoach and be in the airport in 20 mins. Sean O'Moore road would be your stop.
The Greystones and Killiiney/Dalkey buses cover this route, so look up both timetables.

Should cost about a tenner to get to the airport.

Worth booking hotel at least mate as normally you can cancel those up until the day. Flights are a little more tricky I suppose but we're booking everything tomorrow so taking the chance.

Should get a ticket comfortably enough if you get in early.

depends on how well this gets marketed.

Liverpool & Celtic are massively supported over here, so i'm not taking any chances.

and feel free to book a hotel anywhere on the dart (train) line, it's really easy access too and fro the stadium.

Using aways from last seasons league games for a friendly would be a joke in my opinion. Surely a friendly in a different country, apart from fitness, is for people who can't normally get to games?

But can afford to get to Ireland, for a friendly?

I'm sure those from Ireland will be comfortable sitting with their mates - in the ticketmaster tickets section.

A load of us are doing this in and out on the Saturday coach to Holyhead then ferry to Dublin and back after the game. Full english in the pub before we go then on it all day cant wait will be a good day this I reckon, can see pre req's coming in for it though with the fan base in Ireland and the closeness and the opposition, will be a popular one

Gunna be gutted here if ive booked my flights and then cant get a ticket, didnt even think about not getting one. im on the 21.55 to birmingham home, think thats the closest you'll get back to Liverpool that night so that will be popular and price will rocket once Ryanair have caught wind and so thought it was best to book straight away.

If worst comes to worst mate you'll probably be able to get a ticket in the neutral section. Not preferable but a lot better than losing money on flights etc..

Or maybe those from Ireland would be more comfortable sitting with their mates in the Liverpool section. Like I would prefer, like every single Liverpool fan from Ireland that I know would prefer.

The point I was making, was in reference to you saying "surely the point of a preseason friendly is for people who don't normally get to games". Those people can go - but they can buy tickets from ticketmaster rather than the club - which will rightly put regular fans first.

They should put regular fans first for regular games. This is a friendly. An opportunity for people who can't go regularly to experience what it's like. I am a regular at Anfield, not at aways though.
