Nadal won 6-1, 6-3 in his eighth final in a row and claimed his third straight title and sixth of 2013.

Murray out of the French Open.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/22540156

Its a shame but realistically he was never going to win it, so hopefully he will able to regain full fitness in time to have another crack at Wimbledon.

There's no point taking a risk in a tournament that he's not really got a chance of winning.

Hopefully he's back fit for Wimbledon.

Wimbledon is hardest to call Federer always at his best on that surface, so any one of the big 4 could win it and Andy getting a rest before hand might work in his favour.

Well done to Aussie-Greek Nick Kyrgios 18 years of age and youngest player in the tourny in his first ever Grand Slam knocked off Stepanek.....in straight sets too!!

I saw him play in semi-pro match infront of about 20 people only about 3-4 months ago!

I genuinely wish I could enjoy watching Nadal play, as he's a great player, but his OCD does my head in.  It's not his fault, but it's also not mine.

If I want to watch a bloke fiddle with his arse then wipe his face I'd find a specialist website.

Berdych-Monfils could be a good match.

Backed Berdych each way at 50/1 a couple of weeks ago hoping for a favourable draw. Didn't get one here!

He probably would have preferred being in Djokovic's half of the draw. His record against Federer is abysmal.

And after all that effort he lost. Should have invested that money instead.

Get in, had £40 on Monfils, was made up when he was 2-0 up then had to go out when it was 2-2. Resigned myself to losing but come back to some winnings.

Was a boss match though.

I can't see nadal beating novak even if it is clay he still looks 10-20% off his best and Novak is the worst possible match up for him. Will surely get odds of 6/4 and above on Novak when he plays Nadal.

Monfils loses to Robredo in 5 sets. Great comeback from 2 sets down from Robredo, saved 4 match points in the 4th set.

Feel for Monfils though.

Djokovic's match against Dimitrov starting now. Ridiculous that they've scheduled it last on, there's only a couple of hours left of play (if that).

Great effort from both Isner and Haas.

Djokovic-Dimitrov turning out to be a massive let down. Looks like a very comfortable win for Djokovic.

Amazing, Robredo wins a third consecutive match from 2 sets behind.

Only the second man in grand slam history to do it, after Henri Cochet at Wimbledon in 1927 (in the QF, SF and final).

Incredible stuff from Robredo.

Haha yes, that poor racquet!

He also managed to only win 5 games against 35-year-old Tommy Haas who played a mammoth 5 setter in the last round.

Kohlschreiber serves out the first set against Djokovic, he wins it 6-4. Very impressive set from the German.

Kohlschreiber has a very nice one-handed backhand as well, lovely to watch.

Kohlschreiber looking like a good match up for Novak so far until that little mistake.

Big break for Novak now, can see him getting going now.
