Who for ?

You think it's too open? Henderson and Suarez in the middle will work harder defensively than anyone else, Borini will work tracking back as will Sterling.

I do mate.

I think with Suarez/Sturridge and A.N.Other up front we have enough to score a couple of goals. We don't need to risk them hitting us on the counter, we already have our full backs playing as wingers, next it'll be Pepe up front too for corners.

Just be solid and work the formation we have been playing. It's not like we have mastered this one yet and we need 3 points by hook or by crook, stay humble and win the game before we start talking about blasting them away.

We could get away with that team if we told Sterling and Borini to not play as much as forwards but as midfielders. You are relying on their defensive work-rate there though. I would prefer Downing to play that role. There is also the risk in giving Suarez that real free-role that he will give away silly free-kicks in our own half.

However, like I've stressed a few times, bib theory is only really (or at it's most) accurate the training a day before a game.

I don't think it's too outlandish that team though, given that it is similar to the one we ended up with vs Man Utd. Minus Sterling.

We scored first against Stoke.... :D

On a serious note, yes, if we score our first, I'll count home factor as a major plus to keeping our heads up.

I'm 100% fine with that as long as Downing isn't starting as a fullback. I'd rather Borini on the flank than Downing if I'm honest, and I don't really even rate Borini much at this point.

Snow isn't sticking so far but it's still snowing at the moment. Unless we get a massive amount of snow between now and tomorrow morning I can't see it getting called off.

This will deffo be off.

It's bouncing down with snow, it's sticking, it's going to be at 0'c or lower all day and its going to snow tonight.

Just look out your window and look at the floor. Conditions around the ground will dictate what happens, and I wouldn't hold your breath for this going ahead.

Norwich City players and staff had to change their travel plans for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool at Anfield – with a severe weather warning issued for the North West for today.

CommentsEmailPrint. To send a link to this page to a friend, you must be logged in.
..
The Canaries flew north last night – after a two hour delay – to avoid the worst of the conditions, and the risk of being stranded if the match goes ahead as scheduled.

“We have had to change our travel plans but that is only appropriate with what we think the forecast will be over the next couple of days,” said manager Chris Hughton yesterday.

Before heading north with his squad, Hughton said: “We will travel tonight because of the thought of not being able to travel as we would like to travel on Friday or, even worse, the thought of a coach journey on Friday which would take a long time.

“We have had to change our planning but we’re hoping once we get there the weather is well enough for the game to be on and put on a performance.”

City trained at Carrow Road yesterday with the benefit of undersoil heating with pitches snow-covered and frozen at Colney.

“It hasn’t affected us so much today because we have trained here at the stadium,” said Hughton. “We weren’t able to get on to the training pitches on Tuesday – we worked in the indoor area. So it has affected us slightly but these are conditions you have to work around the best way you can and use your facilities.

“It was a really good opportunity, being away on Saturday and with the FA Youth Cup game called off on Wednesday, to use the pitch.

“It was important because it was preparation we need going into an important game.”

Forecasters say Liverpool is set to be covered in snow as freezing temperatures and blizzard conditions hit Merseyside today.

They predicted snow would fall in the early hours of this morning and throughout the day with the winter weather likely to cause chaos across the city. More than three to six inches of snow have been forecast, with a substantial amount falling in Liverpool and temperatures plummeting below zero. Motorists and commuters were advised to be prepared for the worst.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Clearly there is the potential for some severe disruption. The snow looks increasingly likely to spread from the south west. Accumulations of more than three to six inches of snow could well occur quite widely, with the risk of 10 inches or more over high ground.”

City’s official supporters’ coaches are scheduled to leave at 7am tomorrow

It snowing all over the country isn't is? Surly this game has as much chance as any other game going ahead hasn't it? Or is it more to do with where the ground is situated and the accessibility to it?

Thing is aswell, we've got bloody City and Arsenal away next. Could of done with this home game first to try and get some points on the board before we played them.

Exactly, It would mess our shit up if this didn't go through.

Get the confidence back by winning with a few against norwich and City and arsenal away would look much better.

We still have an FA cup game between Norwich and Arsenal games don't we? If this gets called off then send the first team against Oldham and see if they can give them a proper hiding.

Really hope this game goes ahead though, there is still a long way to go before a decision is made.

I reckon they may announce something later on today. Probably because some of the Norwich fans would've made arrangements to stay in Liverpool the night before.
