Good time to rest Lucas I suppose. Hood to see Henderson get a start. IF that's the team i.e.

Peep = Pepe?

I thought Aldridge was saying 'peeps' ;)

If true, it's a decent side, one would think it has too much for a side which is bottom of the league but who knows with us? Still would prefer Lucas, Sahin and Assaidi to play some part but nice to see Henderson get a game.

Guess it`s good for Lucas to get a rest! Really hope Assaidi gets some game time today!

"Brendan Rodgers is set to follow today's game via RAWK's on-line commentary", he added "however I'll be keeping out of the half-time thread".
I think he'd be well served to stay out of the post match thread as well.

Even if we win, his jaw would hit the floor with the bollocks that's spouted forth from some on here... and as for the WTF. Well...  ;D

Good to see Lucas rested, important we steadily nurse him back to fitness and not repeat the mistakes of the past by rushing him back in. I think we've actually handled his return well. He's been subbed a few times since coming back, asking too much of him to be playing 90 mins week in week out.

As for the match, you just don't know what to expect from us. Its a must win no doubt, and an early goal is critical.

It's prolly going to be a mauling today. QPR will think they can do us and we would want to put the Stoke result behind us. With LFC these days, you never know, so get you're warpaint, drums and violins(just in case) out.

It promises to be end-to-end stuff!

Hope we do them!

Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

it is going to be a battle at times and i think we will miss Lucas. not sure Allen will like this sort of game on what may be a heavy pitch. that aside i think attitude rather than ability will decide who wins. we have it on ability

Read somewhere that this will be 'Arry's 600th league game as a manager, prepare for a massive wankfest.

Honestly think the defence needs to up their game, conceded 6 goals in 3 games. Would play Sahin because he can get goals from midfield. Suso will hopefully play again and build on a solid performance.

Hendo + Allen would work with Gerrard further forward..
Allen + Gerrard with Hendo further forward wont - lets see what we get.

Still think we should be beating these men, Downing starting again is a disapointment.

I have a feeling it will be the 1 and 2 again with Allen deeper and Gerrard and Henderson ahead. Should be 4-2-3-1 though with Allen and Henderson holding. We did well in that formation here last season. Rodgers needs to get it right.

If we can afford to rest Lucas we can certainly afford to rest Gerrard.

I'm a bit concerned Gerrard, Henderson, and Allen will all try and play holding mid!  ;)  Hopefully at any given time 2 of 3 get forward....without that our scoring threat is minimal.

Also rather convinced Sahin is going to end his loan spell quietly with almost no action, and then he'll go on to be a world beater.  FFS.

Of course, but I certainly think he can sit a league game now and then.  He doesn't even get subbed for a breather in the rare cases we have a solid lead late.

If that's the lineup then I'm happy Allen is back in the team, although we still had more possession without him I'm not convinced with the way we lose the ball to easy. When he's in there it does look a lot easier to keep the ball and have options in the centre.

I'm also very disappointed that downing is starting again if it's true, he isn't good enough to be as regular as he is right now.

Your argument makes no sense, on one hand you talk about minimal goal threat yet on the other you advocate dropping the only player in the team other than Suarez who carries a goal threat.

We've got to beat them. They're bottom of the league.
Really don't think Lucas should be rested, QPR's midfield is their strong point. However I am happy Hendo has been given the start, think he'll have a good game today.

I assume it'll be Allen and Gerrard as the defensive duo. With Henderson running like hell in front of them. Think it's what we've seen for the most this season.

That's not to say I don't agree with you in that it should be Allen and Henderson laying deep.

Good to see Rodgers rested. He's been looking knackered over the past few games and his performances have gone downhill. But seeing as he has been an ever-present in the squad who can blame him. Hopefully he comes back fit and back on form.

No because the dubious goals panel gave the goal to Shelvey, and didn't give Gerrard the one at Norwich.

Haha it's crazy how the dubious goal panel didn't give Gerrard the Norwich goal which was a shot on target from him, but gave Shelvey the West Ham one where he didn't even touch the ball :lmao
