Is it gonna go to 3?

Just got straight into the queue twice on the phone - and its not sold out yet - so its a decent sign that those on four aren't still desperately calling- and it may well drop.

Saying that, I reckon the Thomas Cook coaches will be oversubscribed and the club will just give any extra tickets left after today's sale to Thomas Cook, as its easier than them sticking staff on the phone for another sale.

Liverpool Football Club are pleased to confirm they have secured an additional allocation for our Europa play-off first leg fixture.

Tickets will be available to hospitality members, season ticket holders, official members and fan card holders who attended three or more away European games in season 2010-11 (excluding any qualifiers).

Tickets are subject to availability and will be available to purchase via telephone on 0843 170 5555 (overseas 0044 907 9399) and at the ticket office windows from 1pm on Monday, August 20.

Due to tickets not arriving until mid-morning on Monday, we would advise supporters, where possible, to arrange for tickets to be collected from the ticket office.

Should any tickets remain following this sale, an announcement will be made on www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/latest-ticket-news. Please check for updated information.

So we have more than 1200 now, could well drop to 2

Hearts have just announced they have sold out the home tickets, much to the annoyance of some of my work colleagues. Only got hospitality left so no chance of sneaking in the home end unless you want to fork out £190. Should be a good atmosphere then.

there are also 2 massive Weatherspoons on George Street, but yeah Rose Street is just full of pubs. It'll be busy with the festival but a good atmosphere.

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/latest-ticket-news

it has dropped to those with 2.

Seems odd to do this before the sale for people with three has ended.  I know a couple of lads who are finishing work at three to go down.  They couldn't take any more flexi to get off earlier.  They'll be fuming if they miss out, I'm sure.

Saying that, it was VERY quiet down there.  Can't have been more than 50 people in the queue at 1pm.  Hopefully they are just very confident that all those with three (and possibly with two) will be sorted.

But it begs the question - why couldn't they be more accurate about what it would drop to in the first instance.  People have to book leave, hotels and transport.  And the longer they leave it the more difficult and expensve it becomes.  I know they can't be sure about uptake, but they must have a fair idea from historical data, and its all very last minute as per usual.

doubt it. Would think a further announcement for those with 1 around 4pm as sale ends 3.45pm. very touch and go.

I'd like to know as well, would love to go seeing as I live in Edinburgh but I reckon I've as much chance of flying to the moon than getting a brief for this one. I don't understand why they are using the loyalty requirement to get tickets yet are not giving loyalty for future rounds in return, still scratching my head at that one...

You're pretty close to the truth there. Am just frustrated because it's the easiest game for me to get to - ironically I can get a ticket no problem for the Anfield leg but it costs me over £200 every time I want to go to the match, plus I've got to take time off work, get ripped off on the trains and sort out hotels and all that. Just don't have that sort of cash floating around sadly. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nope and I guess that's the reson the tickets hasn't sold out yet.
