The game engine is most definitely flawed in many many ways, but unfortunately it seems like the 'overseers' have almost abandoned the whole thing and just left it to run itself now.

The GK is scored on how many saves he makes, a busy GK will get a higher score. If your GK faces 2 or 3 shots and concedes 1 or 2 then he'll score low. Which is often the case with higher rated sides.

Strikers that are lethal in real life yet miss 5 or 6 chances a game is the real bug bear of mine.

I'd say Neuer's ratings are probably just an anomaly, it's only two games after all. Having a high rated keeper usually seems to make a pretty big difference.

Your tactics also play a big role, having your full backs push up is always going to be risky when you're playing against wingers. Especially when those wingers are Aguero & Reus!

Either that or Dam colluded with the game engine
