Sad to hear he has had to retire on medical advice. Some great memories and unfortunate it's come to an end for him. Had a great start to the season at Preston too.

Their form dipped dramatically without him.

He left his own engraving on the magical 04/05 season. The strike against Arsenal and his performance vs Olympiakos obviously spring to mind.

Obviously the Arsenal and Olympiakos goals are the stand outs but he also scored in a League Cup Semi Final, which helped us go on to beat the Mancs in the final. Plus he scored in a couple of rounds in the 2005 League Cup run too I think.
