Here is part of the so called podcast:
http://soundcloud.com/anfieldroad/alandavieshillsboroughNow, it is completely insensitive from him to refer in such a way about why or why not we play on the date. As many have said previously, Liverpool FC has its reasons to conmemorate the date in the way they find more fitting for. Specially when you consider the tragedy and how it stills affects the families, friends of the victims and the city itself, and how they are still fighting for justice after 23 years. Yes, 23 years might be a lifetime, but it is still felt like it was not so long ago when people went to a football match and never returned. The fact that the team refuses to play on this date, maybe it is because Life is more important than a football match.
You don't need to be friends or family of the victims, not even to be from the city, or even born by the time to understand it, If you call yourself a supporter from this football club (no matter where are you from and what age are you old) you know about Hillsborough, and what it represents. And if you are not a supporter from this football club, at least you have common sense and respect our points of views about such a date, instead of spout vile about something so close to this team.
And Alan Davies can do one, he might have apologized already, but that doesn't mean he isn't a twat for what he said first.
