Have a feeling it's gonna be an old fashioned derby with plenty of cards tonight, they'll fancy their chances and the pressure is on us to turn our form around and get our season back on some sort of track. An early goal would be great to shut them up as long as we go for the jugular after that. Dirk will score his sixth tonight and join God as one of the leading scorers against them.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Been nervous about this one all day but I think I'm getting more confident as the day goes on. That'll change about another 8 or 9 times between now and kick off though.
First time in ages I genuinely couldnt give a shit about who plays I just wanna get in the ground and shake nervously till we bloody score.

Actually, I'm that calm I promised to a Blue mate that if Everton beat us I'll buy the DVD they'll inevitably bring out and watch it in his company.

We're gonna win.

Where are you going mate? I'll be in the supporters club on breck road if you're about.

Think it'll be tight enough tonight. Would bench Adam, start Henderson Jay And Gerrard in midfield with Bellamy Carroll and Suarez up top. Can't see Bellamy starting though after starting on Saturday. Pity as he has been our biggest goalscoring threat at times this season. Wish Suarez could find his Ajax goalscoring boots  :(

So we all agree that Adam shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch? Let's hope Kenny drops him, and DOESN'T put Henderson out right. In fact, it would be better if he didn't play as well.

Wasn't giving him stick mate, he is one of the better players we have but just like you said he's young and has a lot to learn and I feel that we have a better choice than him at the moment. At this point in time someone like Maxi would be the better option, especially given Hendo's performances of late. Wouldn't mind too much if Henderson starts, just not on the right. Everytime I see him there my eyes bleed.

Henderson should only play if he's playing a deeper midfield role of distribution. Playing him on the right or as an advanced midfielder only makes him look toothless, scared and shite in all honestly. Which I don't think he is, he just has 0 attacking threat at this moment in his career. We can't score goals so we need the players in the attacking role to be comfortable up there.

Adam shouldn't play at all. Most people have their opinions on him and I don't hate the guy, or buy into the RAWK witch hunt, but his constant squandering of possession makes me cry inside.

Spearing should play. He has made the odd mistake this season, but his general play has been better than both the above, and can responsibility where the above haven't, especially in a game like this. Seems to get dropped when he's shite. Henderson or Adam don't.

Reina

Johnson/Kelly
Coates/Carragher
Skrtel
Enrique

Spearing
Gerrard/Henderson

Bellamy
Suarez
Downing

Carroll

Not to keen on a two man midfield myself, but at the same time I am going to rip my bollocks off if I watch another boring, incapable, unimaginative, Hodgson-smelling shite performance like we saw Bolton, Sunderland, Cardiff, Wigan.

I could stomach Arsenal, Blackburn, Swansea, Norwich because we created chances and looked half the way there to being a decent side. But I won't stand for shite like Saturday and do not buy into the cries that we just arn't a good side. We are. We have shown that v City three times, United twice, Arsenal once and Chelsea twice.
