Henderson played one-two with Suarez in the build up to the goal, played a great reverse ball to Kelly for his chance and a brilliant through ball to Suarez which Distin just beat him to. Need to get him on the ball more as he can unlock their defence.

Thought we were sitting far too deep at the end, but overall a good performance. Andy and Henderson (although I wish he'd just fucking shoot at times) doing well.

Decent half, very bright start from us, Everton got more into as the half went on. Lets push on from this is the second half now, hope they come flying out of the traps. Great finish Stevie.

First 20 mins jordan was shite, looked off the pace by miles but hes grown into the game and made some good opportunities with nice through balls.. Hope we get a second goal to kill them off.

Fine first half performance, deserve to be more than 1 up.

Key man so far; Spearing, metronomic excellence in possession, has really set the pace and tone for the entire team.
Kudos to; Gerrard (rolling back the years) Kelly and Enrique (tricky task doing a good job).
Worried about; Henderson, caught in possession a few times, both good and bad tonight; Soft midfield has looked exposed at times; sitting deep and ceding possession
Pleased at; nice passing and moving; Carroll and Suarez linking up well; a nice balance to the side

Superb so far. And this time its yielded a goal. Everton still look dangerous and Henderson off the pace, but we've been the far superior team. Another goal within first 10 mins, and we'll avoid a nervous second half and the prospect of another fucking draw. Glad cahill isn't playing. c*nt always scores against us.

Henderson started very poorly, but really improved as the half wore on. Good on him.

As we can see Henderson link up play is great, he only lacking that final ball at times.
