the latest addition to the hilarious Kilkenny Gaelic football campaign, other such beauties this year include

Leitrim 4-26 Kilkenny 0-03
Kilkenny 1-6 Carlow 3-11
Limerick 1-30 Kilkenny 0-01

Seriously, how are ye so shit at Gaelic football? I get that hurling is the primary sport, but like judging by the results ye must be sending out groups of blind crippled people. Losing by 38 points to London! Sorry now, but I could go down the local pub and pick the first 15 people I see, give them each a jersey and we'd give London a game there and then, pissed and all! We certainly wouldn't lose by 38 points to them. Whats going on like? Surely ye should just pack it in altogether. And although its hurling>gaelic football for me aswell, glad to say I come from a county where we're successful at both.

No idea, it's a mystery to me. We have underage teams as good as most in the country, but they seem to pack it in for some reason.


Mate of mine was at the London game and said he'd never seen anything so bad. Basics such as catching the ball were non existent and we were lucky to score the four points.

@Anywhichwayucan, yup, baffles me aswell, not like ye don't produce good athletes. A lot of it must be down to management and mentality.

Here's how the draft will work:

Each participant will take it in turn to pick a player for team, and the draft will take place in a 'snake order'. In other words, whoever picks first in round one will pick last in round two, and whoever picks last in round one will pick first in round two.

Any player picked must have played Inter County Football from 1970, this will stop any nostalgic picks that none of us actually saw play.

Each team must contain 15 players (obviously), but the number of players you pick must have played that number for their respective County. Having said that, in the voting rounds, a balanced side is more likely to win.

N.B You will have a 5 hour gap to pick and if not you loose your turn and must wait until your next go, the hours of 1am and 8am CET with be shutdown as it will be sleepy time for us all. When you take you go please PM the next person to let them know they are up!

WHEN YOU HAVE CHOSEN YOUR PLAYER DO NOT POST OTHER PLAYERS NAMES IN THE THREAD. AS SOMEONE ELSE MAY HAVE THAT PLAYER IN MIND, SO JUST DO NOT DO IT.

The only necessity for your team is that it has a Captain. Please post a picture of all your chosen players. 

All discussion about the draft should take place in this thread, and I will create another thread which will be exclusively for participants to make their picks.

When the 8-16 players have been added to the Draft everyone will PM a number between 1-100 and i will get a MOD to pick a number and the closet to that number goes first.
