The midfield situation with Lucas and Spearing out reminds me of how things went with the Juventus away and Leverkusen home games in 2005 when we seemed to have so many players missing and players stepped up and into the breach, bossing things. Juventus away was terrifying in particular, thinking we'd have John Welsh and Igor Biscan making up our midfield that night before Alonso made a miraculous return from his broken ankle. With that in mind, I reckon Lucas to start tonight...
