Isn't necessarily suicide although that is the most likely option. Could be accidental death. Terrible news either way.

Still in shock from this, just makes you stop and think. Never had any connections with any clubs or countries he was involved in, but that doesnt matter, always seemed like a really decent chap.

I guess you lose to ability to think rationally and just don't see any other way to get out of whatever troubles you have when suffering from a depression. I think that state of mind is impossible for anyone not in his position to understand, and it might just seem reckless and selfish for people who has never faced these problems.

Totally shocked. I remember when he first broke into the league with Leeds with his curly mop of hair. A great professional and a wonderfully underrated midfielder alongside Batty, Strachan and McAllister. RIP. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.

Just seen that he lived in Huntington as well, which is literally 2 minutes away from my family's house in Chester.

i dident mean anything bad by my selfish act comments, dident mean to upset anyone,. but having lost 2 very close mates, take there own lifes the same way, thats how i felt at that time too, i know as much as anyone what depression can do to a person but i still think theres always a way around things instead of ending it all and leaving your family thinking why?

There's nothing to speculate at this point re cause of death. Police and Welsh FA announced he was found hanged at home, so forget 'accidental death' and 'natural causes'.

Still trying to get my head round it after watching him on footie focus yesterday. Going to be surreal going to the match later

Totally stunned by this shocking and tragic news of Gary's death. Loved him to bits as a player.
