An alleged R* employee has said that it's set in San Andreas in 2012 (something to do with the Mayan's end of the world idea).  Money plays an important part as does a huge South American drug deal.

I always thought R* employees were under lock and key as far as leaks go, so it could be bollocks.  Trailer is up today so we'll probably see where it's set.
