Yes, this is from Twitter, but take a look, just posted.

Agreed.

If an English club got banned or pulled out, then yes.

A team from another asocciation is entirely different matter.

Just hearing Liverpool could be in the Champions League as a result of Fenerbahce being expelled. When a team is expelled UEFA may give the place to the team with the highest co-efficient not currently in Europe. However - no nation can have more than four teams in the Champions League so all may rest on Arsenal losing? Trying to get confirmation.

That's how, apparently.

don't even understand why we would be allowed, or why it would be us instead on many other teams.

Bullshit! I mean.. why Liverpool, why exactly us? We're not even in EL, that would be unfair to Tottenham to be honest. And even if Fenerbahce get expelled.. surely there'll be another turkish team replacing them.  :wave

Surely it would be fairer to allow the highest ranking loser from the qualification stages in?  For example, if Arse are knocked out tonight they still qualify.  Can't see how its in any way fair or sense to let us in, and would be a tarnished cup if we won it.

Trying to understand the UEFA rulebook right now. It could be that the place goes back to Turkey. No mention of what happens at this stage.

That, and getting knocked out now means Arsenal will play in the Europa League, so they don't qualify for the criteria anyway.

I obviously doubt this will happen but hey, something to follow besides waiting for the Exeter game.

Why? I'd take Champions League football back in a heart beat.

i just feel like we (the club, the players themselves, the fans) have convinced ourselves a season out of the CL is a decent thing for us at this stage.  we have a lot of new players and we could have a really successful season without the midweek distraction of european footy.  i think we've planned for the season with no CL in mind, and gaining entry to it might make us lose focus.

This is my understanding - if Arsenal win, Liverpool are in the EL cause 5 teams from the same nation can't be in the CL. (cont)

Maybe (and its a long shot), the greedy people running UEFA would think that having LFC rather than some Turkish club would make better commercial sense; especially if there is a loophole in the rulebook.

Maybe Agent Comolli is heading out in a Babelcopter with two suitcases full of cash to grease the UEFA top brass ;)
