« on: July 14, 2011, 05:24:06 pm »
More than 30,000 fans turned up for the official training session today at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. it was a blast. It this the record turnout for a lfc training session in history?  ;D
A sellout crowd of 80,000 is expected for the match against the Malaysia National Team this Saturday. Can't wait!

Heard the exact attendance was 38,700. Brilliant especially as they wouldn't let more than 40,000 in apparently.

In other news, beer sales have increased in Malaysia by 33% since the arrival of the LFC squad. While there has been no hard evidence to suggest why, though this image may provide an explanation.

You guys dont really understand how fanatical supporters are in this region over Liverpool and the Premier League. I live in Thailand and the telephone call traffic peaks each week a couple of hours before kick off (principally because of gambling on the matches). I am flying to Malaysia and my match ticket is around US$120. I must say it is a bit disappointing we wont see KK especially as the squad is pretty thin for various reasons. I know a lot of you guys think it is a bit of a waste of time but it isnt. I am glad JWHenry is going because he always talks as though the Red Sox are a global sports phenomenon and I doubt they could fill a 5,000 seat stadium in Malaysia let alone an 80,000 seat stadium.

Fucking hell!! Can't fault their love for the redmen. Any pics mate?

some grown men shed some tears or fought hard to hold back some when the team came out from the tunnel.

funny moment:
1 guy wearing torres no.9 jersey and 1 idiot wearing manu top were forced to take off their shirts by the fans. They didnt physically touched them though but few thousands people in the same section shouting, jeering and demanding you to remove your shirt is quite scary.

haha.  that's funny, but it seems like the kid in the torres shirt is only young, might not've been able to afford a new shirt yet after getting his torres shirt shortly before he left the club, but wanted to turn up to the training session wearing something liverpool related

People like Arsenal, they're not actual fans but they like them because they play pretty football but don't challenge, so the neutrals likes them.

It's not the kid in the Torres shirt getting stick.  It's the fan to his left in the MU shirt.
