Shelvey had a poor reaction when he lost the ball on their first goal...it's not the right attitude to play for Liverpool even if it's a pre season game.

I thought Aquilani played well today, played a few off passes here and there but it is preseason. His technique is quality and if he ends up as one of the players to be shipped out this summer then I think we'd be making a mistake.

Agreed. Last season we had a serious lack of quality options on the bench. Now we have that quality and people want it shipped out.

Thought Adam and Aqua looked good together. The contrast between Adam's long range passing and Aqua's short, quick touches seems to work well.

I thought Adam was quite good. Aquilani just oozes class every time he touches the ball.

looked good. was part of a wonderful pass and move with Spearing, I believe, that set him through on goal but he touched it just wide.

We could do a lot worse then scout that chinese left winger if we are looking for asian talent, I would expect he would be quite cheap and had a very good game scoring one and setting their other two up. He seems to have a fair bit of speed and can go inside or outside as well as having some tricks and a good delivery with his crossing.

Did pretty well. Had a lovely bit of link-up play with Spearing (I think?) and just put it wide. Was one of the highlights of the match and would have been a cracking goal if he had just snuck it in.

He was playing right wing, should have been there to receive Shelvey's ball, instead a knackered Kelly is forced to meekly trot forward and attempt to get it, which leaves him out of position...

Honestly, he was alright. I'm a fan and would love for him to be a success, but I'd like to see more energy from him. It's only the first friendly so I don't think it's all that fair to judge him yet.

Today's match brings me hope for a goal fueled season. I was good for Carroll and Coady to get on the board. And seeing Aqua and Adam on the pitch was uplifting. We just need to get our lads match fit.
