Well, he's featured in 39 matches this season (hasn't played in the Europa League for Juventus, since he was cup tied) ... At the same time, Gerrard has featured in 29 matches this season ... Think before you post ...

Reading back through the posts when Aquilani was fresh into his loan at Juventus, doing reasonably well while Liverpool were teetering around the relegation zone under Hodgsons reign. There was certainty that Juventus picked up a bargain and would definately exercise their right to buy him at the agreed price. Fastforward to now where theres a distinct possibility that Aquilani will return leaving some posters feeling abjected to a 15 million wasted opportunity.

I'm surprised I haven't heard the obligatory 'Aquilani is much better on RAWK than he is on a football pitch'.

Love the guy but I doubt now that we will ever see him in a Liverpool shirt again.

No way they will play pirlo and aquilani together as it would offer almost no defensive cover. Juve have quite a few deals to tie up in regards to loans with options to buy they had last year.

I'll stand by Kenny's words: 'don't forget about Aqua', I don't think he would put a price tag in him and wait for offers. It's either Juventus or bring him back, in my opinion, unless a team like Milan gets interested.

The reason (IMHO) Kenny said that was to signal to Juve that AA wasn't going to be sold to Juve at whatever price Juve wanted.
Kenny still sees AA as a valuable asset. Ie telling AA that he considers him to be a good player should he end up back with us and telling other teams that Liverpool arent going to be shafted on price if they want to buy AA.

Agent is just following the wishes of his client no harm no foul there. Liverpool will do whats best for Liverpool not Juve. Sometimes you have to stand on your dig and I get the impression the new owners are not going to be bullied by some emotional needy Italians. Juve are angling for a discount but sometimes you can get caught being clever by half. If they don't think he is worth the agreed fee they shouldn't have agreed the loan deal.
The fact that Juve still want him proves that he has performed his end of the deal as have Liverpool. Juve are just being spendthrifts and may well lose out all together.

If we sell him for a cut price we'll be going back to the days when we sell good players for a lesser price at what their worth, Juve should remember we're a bigger club than them not a feeder club for them if they can't afford him then, good luck & thanks we'll use him ourselves or sell him to a club that has cash, its simple realy.

We should just take back Aquilani and sell to Juventus' rival if we do not need him. With all our attacking midfielders (Maxi, Kuyt and Suarez) on song, he is a luxury squad player when we play in Europe when the pace is slower.

In the centre, I rather we persist with Spearing/Lucas who are forming a solid partnership. We have also Gerrard/Meireles to cover centre midfield if necessary.

I think we should wait until after the 15 May deadline and they say yes we will let you have him for £14m, but for one off immediate payment rather than the 16m 3 part payment deal at present.

Team with no width ? Kenny will never play that in million years. There is a reason why we are chasing 2 quality wingers . Kenny wont adapt formation for players it will always be the other way players for formation .

We will in all possibility play like this the way we are playing now.

Kenny won't like that if the player doesn't want to be here. You can do an awful lot with the balance of fee received over and beyond what we owe and saved wages of between £9m and £12m.

Kenny would not worry about it much, Comolli would. He would have to take a call and he is here to do the financial analysis required on the worth of a player. All our in house rawk financial experts have no access to the contract terms, or the options on the table. All are guess estimates and a lot of figures thrown out sometimes just for arguments sake. Like of example there is no "saved wages", there is only wages, no one will work for free and non one's a slave. So Aquilani is worth some money, whether we want to pay it is another matter. If not, then we need someone with better ability and lesser money, which is not easy to find but easy to comment on from an armchair. The value of a player is something which Kenny and Comolli would have a good idea of, and definitely would have a nice idea of how to spend it.
