I got the Lucas thing wrong. Will be right on Henderson though. Play him RM, play him CM - Not good enough and never will be.

I watched the game in HD. It was a red card. Simple as that. Studs up, over the top of the ball, intent.

off you go.

72% possession for Barca 28% for Real...

the red card changed the game and Messi is out of this world, only 23 years old!

Indeed. And when you are at home in a Champions League semi-final against your bitter rivals who you beat only a few days before, parking the bus is indeed a shithouse move. Especially when you have the 'second best player in the world' on the field.
They had 29% posession at one point, playing at home, and I'm sat there thinking yeah they'll really do well against the Mancs with that approach  ::)

With ONE striker compared to Mourinho's Higuain, Benzema, Adebayor and (up to a point) Ronaldo. With one natural winger in Albert Riera compared to the likes of Özil and Di Maria. Need I go on?

You forgot to mention Kaka.

Let me take this moment to thank Messi and the wonderful Barca passing style of play that has given me something to smile about on this awful, miserable day.

And fuck off Y2J, you Una Carveza wannabe. ;)

What an absolute discrace of a game.

Both sides are a bunch of cheating bastards and Spanish football is a pantomine!!

You've clearly missed the point I and others were making, but never mind, just carry on acting the big man.

A 32 year old man trying to humiliate an 18 year old on the Internet after stalking his profile and you're telling me I'm acting the big man? Well done, you.

Studs up tackle, over the ball, body sideways on, not even looking in the direction of his challenge, has Nigel De Jong been teaching Pepe the art of tackling?

Didn't think it was a red till I saw that. Dani Alves did make a meal of it though.

I'm sorry, would calling you a quim be more satisfactory?

They might have dickheads in their team but that doesn't make them any less good. They're the lesser of two evils between them and Madrid.

Even if there was slight contact of the ball, it doesn't make the challenge any less dangerous. Pepe is known for his dirty challenges and there was definitely some element of intent to do Alves.

Sublime second goal from the genius Messi in an otherwise disgrace of a game. Locked in their dressing rooms and forbidden from doing interviews.
They're the two best teams in the world and they're a massive gang of fannies.

If that was Man United v Liverpool and the game descended to that level of petty cuntishness we'd all be embarrassed.

Seems that every neutral in the studio of Al Jazeera don't think the same, and they were watching in 3d.

Replace Alves with Carrick, Pepe with Gerrard, CL with FA Cup and all of us said it wasn't a red card back then.

If Messi's on a yellow then I hope Barca rest him in the second leg unless needed. Knowing how much luck the mancs get though he'll play, get booked, and miss the final.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

All part of his mindgames.
Guardiola lulled into a false sense of security and then he will pounce, and only play 9 men behind the ball at the Nou Camp.

My biggest concern now is Barca will put the tie to bed early at the Nou Camp (if it's not already) and Madrid will resort to trying to provoke them into cards that will mean them missing the final.
It's the sort of shithouse trick their shithouse manager would condone.

The red was as much a red as Scholes' was. Unlikely to cause any serious injury due to how high his foot was and how little weight was behind the challenge. On the other hand he definitely seemed to use the bouncing ball as an excuse to leave his foot in on Alves.

Even in a match where very few players stood out as coming out with any credit Busqets stood out as an absolute embarassment to the sport. The couple of moments where he took minor contact to his face and then just laid motionless were an absolute disgrace. Just think if behaviour like that became more commonplace and a player in a position like Carragher last week suffered from it.

Messi's goal was unbelievable. Best player in the world by a country mile.
