They'd never make it that simple mate. US company, I heavily doubt that.

But £25m, if it means more money for Kenny to spend in the transfer window and turns into us winning cups, then so be it.

To be fair, when Sami scored that, I was sitting in the Kop thinking how much better it'd be if he had the three stripes on his shirt. Took some of the gloss of it for me.

their football kits will probably be much different looking than their lacrosse jerseys.  i can imagine the kits being fantastically shit actually.  american companies like flashy and 'manly' so it will probably have a lot of design flair shite all over it

granted i don't give a shit, for that money
There was way to much design on all the adidas kits...the reebok kits were quality, plain and simple

Fact is mate, they will want there logo to be a main part of it for £25m. Why clutter it with stripes lines and bits and bobs when that shows off the sponsors more than any other way could.

On the plus side we may see a return to an all red shirt with just the club crest and sponsor.  I wouldn't mind seeing that.

If this company is investing 25 million then I expect they will be wanting to recoup that with quality clothing and kits.

Also, as summer 2012 will see the Olympics in London and tourist numbers up what are the chances of these "new" kits being all over the capitol sport stores? ;)

My one worry with this, is if it will effect shirt sales, Adidas is a world wide trademark, people buy Adidas clothing just because it is Adidas.

I know a lot of people will buy the new kit, no matter who it is making it, but will the unknown brand name put some people off?

I guess the huge deal will negate anyone being put off, hopefully this will turn them into a big deal, as it can only benefit us the bigger they become.

We are the brand tho.

Too long we've trailed in the wake.

Lfc were the original trend setters, first shirt sponsorship, shankly predicted it.

John W ain't no mug, he wants us back we're we belong, leading the pack.  If we wear it, others will follow.

$25m is great for us, but Warrior are the real winners.
They have translated from Halmstads to Malmo, to Orebo to Neuchatel Xamax, to the Swiss national team, so I find the question insulting.

I'm damn sure Ian Ayre will make sure there is a British based designer working in tandem on the design, or as an advisor to the Warrior company!!

To be fair, you can clearly see that Stevie is angry about not wearing Adidas. I think he's gestuting to Parry there as well, who had his phone off at the time.

New Balance are a fucking savage company IMHO. Let's face it, they're not likely to jump the shark on this one. I fully expect design ninjas the likes of which the kit thread fellas have never seen to be all over this like white on rice.

This also helps with the new transfer rule coming in. Can only spend on players what you make in revenue/sponsorship, which is why the amount they are paying is much more important than how the kits will look.

some people are right quims seemingly worrying more about what fucking logo they're sporting than a piece of great business that's gonna help the club

if i had my way you can fuck all logo's off - just a basic shirt and number, no fucking name, no sponser, no fucking logos - you know, like the one kenny's wearing in his iconic shot, didn't look too bad did he

but fact of the matter is tho that significant funds are generated by all this shit so it does the club well - that's the bottom line, not 'ahhhhhh i'll miss the stripes'

stripes for fucks sake  :lmao

Good job as far as the money is concerned.  As long as the shirt doesn't look like a blouse like some of the kits from years ago, I'll be good with that.  I prefer them to fit a little better.
