Annoying that he's gone to Norwich though, as of all the teas in that top 6, they're the only club I wouldnt like to be promoted.

I miss QPR, Leeds, Forest and would like to have a Welsh side in the premier league, But Norwich? Meh.

Great to see the club are actually thinking about the progess of the player. it will be good for him to get some proffesional game time.

Looks like we are all going to be watching the Football League show soon, to see how he's getting on.

Good, delighted for him Norwich is a club on the up, were rotting in league 1 in the bottom at the start of last season, lambert has done wonders looks a bright young manager will be be managing in the premier league someday.

This is wonderful for the young lad, just superb. He will play for a contender in the championship and will have something to play for. He is a kid that needs to be in control of the game and not a role player. They will be smart to put him in to start and tell him: "there you go, you have the ball and 10 players to support you, now go and win the game!"

Good move, although maybe a little suprised. Thought towards the end of this season he may of had a couple of starts, but then again we still have 5th and possibly, possibly 4th to play for.

Hang on, why is everyone saying that this is a good thing? I thought we "needed" him in the first team squad. Also, after reading rawk for many years, isn't it the young player mantra that "if you go on loan, you're being sold"?

Only having a laugh, will be good for the lad to get some game time in a team that needs him. if he can go there and shine it'll be very good for his development. Good luck Dani!

While we were in Europe I guess we are unwilling to loan him out; now we are unlikely to need him to cover for injuries and are not able to blood him during an important run-in, so it makes sense all round.

You're disappointed no one picked up on your hint about suicide watch on page 1 of this thread, aren't you?

Kelly went out on loan. Spearing went out on loan. Gulacsi went out on loan. They're all in our current 1st team squad. Maybe Pacheco and Ayala will prove they can also be exceptions. I dont think players fail to make it because they go on loan. They fail to make it because they're not good enough.

The best outcome for the club. In most cases the player gets sold but for more money then if he wasn't loaned (how much would Pacheco fetch now?). And in rare cases the players return to the club. How many of the current players in the top 6 teams have been on loan at some stage? I see nothing wrong with that; whether Pacheco gets sold or comes back, the club will be better off.

Well said. And if Pacheco helps Norwich get promotion, then him going back there on loan for a while next season would be excellent for his progress.

He'll be back. He is the type of player FSG would buy if we already did not have him on the books. However, I am sure he wants meaningful playing time and we cannot give any with Gerrard, Lucas, Meirales, Kuyt, Suarez and Carroll in the team. So this is the best solution, going to play games that matter in a very physical league. If he was lonaed to Spain or somewhere else that experience would not be that important as it does not translate to EPL. The kid has ability, he needs to develop toughness.
He will be a top player for us in years to come.

Players go on loan, and have a chance to impress. Spearing did, he has done well now. Kelly did well on loan too, look at him now. Yeah, there have been others who have gone on loan, but I don't remember rave reviews about many others. Maybe Ayala.

But the rest, have been notably poor, and probably proving they wont be good enough for us.

You don't get Pacheco, one of the best prospects (top 10 for sure) in world football to sit on your bench if you are fighting for automatic promotion to the EPL.

Small mercies we don't get to see his name being put in everyone's first XI for every Prem game like he's the man to save our season. Loan moves like this are always worth doing as its better than sitting on the bench not getting games and the Championship is 10 x more competitive than the shitty reserve league.
