Maxi's song/chant rings out. I quite like it.

Simple and effective.

Edit: no he looks fine, don't know what it was about.

55 mins - Free kick to Braga from 30 yards out, Lima crashes it off the one man in the wall, the ball hits Meireles' arse and it goes out for a throw in.

Joe Cole has brought in his unique way of football. It's the Liverpool way lost in translation, otherwise known as the don't pass & don't move

57 mins - Kuyt has pulled up and seems to be struggling. The crowd with a chorus of DALGLISH who duly responds with a wave of gratitude.

Kuyt manages to wriggle him self free from the Braga defence and crosses it for Meireles who heads over, best way to picture it is Torres' goal against pompey 2 years ago at fratton park just a few yards further out.

Is Carra a fundemental Christian, trying to dispell gravity on live TV by kicking the ball and letting it never drop down?

Silly errors and the ball falls to Alan who was onside, clean through on goal and luckily he puts the ball wide.

60 corner for Braga.

Two deflections almost lead to a freak goal.

We keep conceding possession in the midfield which makes you crave more control.

Direct play moves us up into their half with a foul on The Behemoth.

He started off like he'd eaten his Weetabix in the morning, but he seems to be lost in the hole at the moment, nowhere to be seen.

Alan just swung at Carroll off the ball, not a clean hit, play goes on. Everyone else see that? He's lucky Andy's on a yellow.

Seriously ref?!

Unless it's a 100% unmistakable foul we won't get a call in our favour. They need a 2/98 and we have to count our blessing to escape a booking :no

64 - very kittle movement. Braga are comfortable as things stand. Cope dawdled on the ball in the centre circle (again) and we lose it. It's like a hot potato.

Wilson's probably nervous as hell and playing out of position as well. I agree with you though. I don't see what Cole brings to the team that any of our bench men bring. And that's saying something :-\

Yep, this stinks. Possibly one of the worst performances I've ever seen.

Absolutely nothing going on. So probably about time for some incredible energy from Spearing or Poulsen....

Was afraid it would happen with Carroll upfront. Without Agger our defense can't pass a ball. Carroll is tall = hoofing.

May as well bring Ngog on and move Dirk out wide.
Cole seems to be stuck on a treadmill when he runs.

runs

I hate to say it but, Braga's defending like a well-drilled Rafa machine defending a one goal lead away in Europe.

Was gonna say they remind me of the 2004 Greece team. About as fancy as a $2 whore but get's the job done.

This is depressing. Hoof hoof hoof. What young parent would want to send their talented young kid to Liverpool only to learn this. Static and over-run in midfield. Wilson, Carragher and Skrtel hoofing like its going out of fashion.

Like I said earlier don't pass and don't move, it's the new Liverpool groove :-X

What the fuck is it with the team? Do they KNOW we go out if we don't win?

Johnson has been utter, utter shit tonight.

He looks so much more comfortable on the left it's quite astonishing to be honest :-\

70 Mins once our best chances (few and far between i agree ) has been when we play it along the ground

skrtel trips up a Braga player yellow card 30 yards out far right hand side  decent effort low hard shot goes under our wall and pepe does well to save it

Er are hoofing because they aren't giving us time. They are pressing high up the pitch.
Fair point, but even when we've had time, it's just been a hoof. Braga are looking decent, we definitely need to make a sub.
